Okay Whisper. But I'm going to keep my eyes open for something more exciting...

=I tap one of the houses with my foot.=

This place just got incinerated. I'm surprised there is still stuff here!

=I carry on walking around.=

=I had entered the main building and was lead to a meeting room=
=Inside the Commander and another person I noticed as the V.I.P.=

=I give a salute to the Commander as he stands and walks to me=

Sir.

"Delta Leader Shroud"

=He nods to me=

"Commander Komen"

=I nod back=

Sir, It seems that the area is not secure.
My team and I were attacked.

=He nods=

"Yeah, damn Tangos surrounding the place. They're everywhere. We've been working to get them out"

=Shield had been sitting under a tent with a few marines when the rain hit. He had his helmet off, and his rifle leaning against the metal crate he was sitting on. He had his long brownish-black hair pulled back into a ponytail. His bright blue eyes remained fixed on his hands as he opened an M.R.E. He talked with the Marines about what had been going on, as well as what had happened. They shared stories of past missions, and dreams for the future. His voice was monotone, but the way he chose his words clearly expressed his emotion. When he wasnt speaking, it was his eyes that gave it away. Somehow, he was able to communicate his feelings through his gaze, which was probably why he spoke so infrequently. The M.R.E. stopped fizzling, which he took as an indication that it was done. He took the small green bag out of the slightly larger green bag it was in, and set it on his lap as he dumped the fluid on the ground. He opened the smaller green bag and the clear bag that contained the spoon, and began eating, still listening to every word the marines had to say=


(Was not really sure what to do, so here ya go. Figured i may as well do some personality revelations)

=I nod=

No doubt the other squads also ran into some trouble.

=He nods=

"Ah, yes. They most likely would have"

=I lean against a wall=

"Earlier, there was a bombing. A shortsword dropped fifteen incendiary bombs down to clear a forest"

Hmm, what do you think about that.

"It was a good tactic, but no doubt they know of where to strike"

=I sigh=

I'm guessing it's a waiting game until Alpha picks us up.

I spot a small hole in one of the dug-outs.

Guys. Found a hole back here, too small for us to get through even without our armour. Whisper, mark it on your map. We'll get a drone in here later.

I set up a marker so we'd know which dug out it was.

=Gunfire begins to erupt outside=
=Komen recieves confirmation on an enemy strike force outside the front gates=

=He looks towards me=

"It seems as though we have company."

=I sigh=

Let the good times roll.

Uh... In which direction is the Pelican's Landing spot?

=I turned to face Sparrow.=

"Get out there and repel them!"

=I sigh and leave the room=

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.

=I follow a group outside. The enemy had begun to take down the gate=
=I comm the rest of Delta=

Alright, do what you were trained to do Delta.
We cant afford to lose the V.I.P.

I left the tent.
=I comm Hawk and Rubble=
"Hawk, see if they got any information from the prisoner. Rubble, go plant those mines. I'm going to see if any of the terminals here have valuable data."

The hard rhythmic beat of the rain on my armor was soothing, it helped me calm my nerves. But the sudden yell from my squad leader made me alert. It seems that we are under attack. I turn on my VISR an looked at my surrounding. They were at the gates and trying to break through. That had to been a diversion there are more ways than one to enter this camp. I take out my DMR and stand by Shroud.

Ready.

=Shield joins us and soon Markov=

This is no ordinary attack.
Break off, help out where you can.
If they break through take them out.

Move it!

=I head off to assist the marines out front=

Alright, so it's action time.

I run away toward the rear end of the encampment and see if anyone is attacking from the back. I start to climb up a tree in hopes of finding a place to make a crows nest to snipe from.

=I nod and run off to help some marines at the back entrance=

=I crouch down on the top of the outcropping=
=A wall serves as cover as I bring the bi-pod down=

=I look down the scope and begin to fire into the trees=
=I try to access a comm link with Sparrow=

We've made it to our post.
We are currently taking heavy fire, an unknown enemy is trying to breach.
The V.I.P. is safe, for how long, I cannot say.

Get here as fast as you can, we'll try to make an LZ.

Sir Update: Me and Markov have taken the back entrance, I have taken the high ground and resuming long-range combat, Shield is protecting the VIP as we speak.

I hear this loud bang to the east of me.

They have blow the wall to the east side, changing target.

I will continue to guard the back gate! Do what you have to do!

=Shield got the comm from Shroud just after he finished his M.R.E. He threw on his helmet, and waited for his shields to come up. Picking up his rifle, he ran over to the camp's western wall, the closest one to where he was. After looking around for a minute or so, he saw nothing. He sent a text comm to Shroud=

Western wall appears clear, sir. Awaiting orders.

(I said drag me along when im not here. When im in the chat, im here. Dont post for me if im here. Its annoying, and keeps leading me away from doing what i was going to do.)

=I receive each update rather quickly=

=I take a breath as I see one...well...sort of...the rain is blurring my scope=
=I sigh and take a cover from my hardcase and attach it to the scope. Blocking any rain drop=

=I pull the trigger=

Here's hoping the fire didn't hurt it too much

=I begin following the marker.=

=An RPG team enters the south end and begins to fire=
=Explosions are heard and felt through the men and women fighting=

=Comms=

South end is under attack!
Heavy fire!

=I leap off of my post and run to the South end=
=Soldiers head to the North to defend it=

Without waiting for reply Aegir went to one of the cement buildings and entered.

Mimir: You might want to lock the door, Aegir.

Aegir: Why would I do that?

Mimir the base is being attacked.

Aegir locks the door to the building and begins cracking into one of the terminals.

Aegir: Mimir, some help?

Mimir: Done.

Aegir: Thanks.

Aegir begins running search criteria through the computer. Copying anything that looks like it could be useful.

We continue moving towards the pelican

=He ran into the tents, moving quickly between them on his way to the south end of the wall. He arrived, and went up a ladder to get on top of the wall with the other marines and ODSTs. He began firing at anything that moved=

=I climb the south wall and begin to set up=
=I fire down the sights, taking down form after form=

We don't have a Plan B, I'm guessing...

=I carry on walking.=

=He continues firing into the woods, hearing the occasional scream of pain, and every so often seeing a body fall out of a tree or bush=

We need to pick up the pace.

I begin jogging

=I start jogging, checking behind me to see that Whisper is too.=

=The rain picks up=

I love the rain...BUT NOT WHEN I'M SNIPING!

=Another explosion at the western gate. People begin to yell=

"Enemies breached in! Keep the CEO safe!"

=I jump down and draw my knife=

They've entered in!
Dig in and kill the bastards!

=As soon as he heard the yelling and the explosion, he leaped off the wall and back down into the mud, and sprinted off towards the Western Gate. He got back into the main road, and began firing at the invaders, not yet realizing that he was dead center between friendly and enemy forces. He glanced back at them=

What i was made for.

=I spin against one of the enemies and impale my knife into the heart of another=
=I spin around, while taking my knife and slit the throat of another=

=One tries to grab me but I lift and spin him around into a hail of bullets=
=The corpse falls off of me and I run into a group. Kicking off of one and driving the blade into another's head=

=I hear the explosions. The rain seeping deeper into my armor=

I point to a clearing just up ahead. The fire still rages around us

I see it.

=I check behind me, seeing Whisper. The flames were still burning away.=

=Another hits the south side=
=Enemies begin to pour in=

=I flip over another and drive the knife into the back of the neck=
=He screams in pain but I ignore it as I take the blood soaked knife out=
=The rain washes the blood away. Another stab and it was bloodied again=

=He hears another explosion, and barely catches a glimpse of it, coming from the South side of the wall. He curses to himself before turning back to the enemies in front of him. He slides his hand forward under his rifle's barrel and squeezes the trigger of the under-mounted flamethrower untill he can no longer see the enemies. He sends another text to Shroud=

I climb into the pelican and start it up, checking the systems.

It'll fly but if we take any kind of hit, we're down.

=Comms to Shield=

Wel, I assume the enemies are entering there as well.
Don't get too excited about it though.

=I hold one as a human meatshield and use his pistol to take care of the remaining forces at the gate=
=I snap the soldier's neck and run south=

I'm pretty sure they're going to have RPG teams...

=I climb into the Pelican, Whisper following me.=

... So it's probably a suicide run. Great.

=i had gone out and set up mines around the base. I put one of them in the tiny ditch I found, facing away from the base. With any luck, it'll take one or two saboteurs if it goes off. I put the other two AP mines at chest height on certain trees, away from the Marines' patrol paths. If there is any form of direct attack, the razors should go a fairly long distance, clearing away a good chunk of cover as they go off. I heard combat, in the distance, but there was almost nothing here. It was eerie. I commed the others=
Hey, Aegir, Hawk. Either of you two know what's going on out there?

I overhear his remark.

You want to stay here?

I open the back hatch and lock it

Trident, sit on the ramp and give some fire down if you see anything move.

=I ran to the south entrance and start shooting=

=I sit down on the ramp, holding my DMR.=

No, I don't want to stay here. It's... To full of people who want to kill us.

=Bullets ping off his shield as he mows down the last two or three enemy soldiers that enter through the Western breach. He gets the comm from Shroud, and sends another text=

=He reloads his rifle, makes sure the flamethrower is loaded, and sprints off for the Southern breach=

=I take the stolen pistol and begin to fire upon the enemy forces=
=My shields begin to go down rapidly and I take cover=

=I close my eyes and begin to breathe slowly=
