Chapter 3-A: Calm before the Storm Part 2

I pick him up and carry him to the med-bay

You need blood or your going to die. That wound hit deep. You lie still and keep your mouth shut. Your going to need every breath you can get.

I begin searching around for blood packs

I am perfectly fine. =I throw up=...or not. Ow.

I told you, be quiet.

I find some blood packs and set them up so they are pumping into Dormii.

I hope these are right, i don't have time to check.

If they are red, they should work fine.

=as the burn is applied= Oww, great way of taking care of a patient, Meo Amo.

I'm not a medic, sorry. I'm doing the best i can with what i know.

No I know, I'm just saying things so I don't fall asleep. =jokingly= Hey, did you know that there's a hole in my leg? Yea, right there.

=I poke my leg next to the bandages= Not too long ago, someone posing as a medic decided to burn it and put some bandages on it. It kinda hurt.

=I smile= and then she glared at me, a little like that. I tried to get up she pinned me to the bed.

=I try to sit up and get out of bed=

You get up and your going to make it worse. Your death sentence.

Ok, maybe I wasn't pinned to the bed, where I managed to sneak in a few kisses and a hug, but I distinctly remember someone saying to stay on the bed or die. =I stay on the bed, sitting up=

You won't actually die. But that leg won't ever heal properly if you put weight on it now.

I walk over to him

Snow's gone. I don't know where. He threatened to kill me. I had to knock him out and jettison him in an escape pod.

Yea, that'd be bad.

=I hold my arms out to hug her= And don't worry about Snow. He was angry, and understandably so. He was being held from those he loved. I'd do the same in his position, unfortunately.

I'm just glad that you are ok.

You don't understand. I should have just killed him. It's better than what fate i've resigned him to.

(He opens his eyes to see her face)
(He smiles)
(He kisses her lips then her forehead, he gets up, puts a blanket over her, and leaves for the cafeteria)
(He grabs some food and sits down)

=I slowly arise awake and throw up from lack of blood=

Me: _{no, no, no, no, no....}

=I search my medical bag urgently, there is an empty spool of bandages and I fiercely throw it into the sand=
=I grab a Ketamine and Morphine=

Me: Best.. to die.. without pain.

=I get up and stand on one leg, the good one. I hug her, for comfort. I manage to keep my balance, barely= A wise woman once told me that the past is the past. I promptly ignored that. =I smile= however, I believe that advice applies.

I am happy that you are telling me, because that means that you won't get a scar on your soul, like me.

I pull away from Dormii

Sorry.

I run out of the room

=I hop on over to the storage area and grab a crutch. I start...what? Walking? Hobbling? Moving, for lack of a better term, to the bridge of the frigate in one of the hanger bays. I begin to launch the frigate=

I feel the throb of the engines start up as im sat in my quarters.

Who in the hell.

I turn my monitors on and see Dormii at the command consoles.

Idiot. You wont' be able to fly this by yourself.

=I uplink to the ship through my helmet= This is frigate, Foward from the Dark, leaving.

=I launch the frigate, and begin searching for Snows escape pod. Trying as hard as I can to not fall over, or hit the self destruct. Both would end in a terrible way=

I run into the control room

Do you mind telling me exactly what you are doing?

Flying a ship, trying not to fall over, and looking for Snow's pod, why?

Dormii Fortuni get back to the med-bay now or so help me god i'll kill you myself!

=I try to crawl off the beach into cover. I take some leaves from a nearby bush and wrap it around my leg and tape it down with electrical tape=

Me: Ok.. that isn't helping..

=I rip off the leaves and continue to crawl into a cave=

Me: I guess.. I.. can _{stay here...}

=I begin to become light headed=

=I chuckle= Fine, fine. I don't like it when I can't do anything, it makes me think. If I think too long, I tend to think of the past. It might have something to do with being a Viking, I'm not sure.

=I begin to move back to the Medbay, while setting the frigate on an automatic docking course with the Trophaeum=

I put my arm round him and help him back to the med-bay

You have to stay still, you cant put weight on this leg

Well i can stay for company, but don't expect much conversation from me.

I sigh and lift him back onto the bed

He's not here, I should go see where everyone else is...

=She gets up and leaves the room=
I just wish I could get some fresh air...

=a jolt goes through the ship as it docks= Honey, I'm home.

=With my remaining energy I write on the walls with the pallet of blood=

I am sorry

=I crouch down and begin to sing=

From out of the dark we descend upon your small blue world

If this is what we call home. I'd like to go home at some point. I just don't know where my home was

Home is wherever you want it to be. Wherever you feel at peace and relaxed. Now that I think about it, you kinda are my home. And that can be taken in several ways, some of which are kinda awkward for anybody who happens to walk by at this moment.

I know exactly where we can go! Its the last place the UNSC will look for us.

Don't tell me Earth. That'd be unusual, yes, it'd also be nuts. More so than usual.

No actually. I don't know if the UNSC will even be there anymore... I can't see them being.

I don't know its name. I never did. It's where i was found. It's pretty much an empty planet but the UNSC did have a Spartan training base on there.

Know the coordinates? I'm not fond of going to a UNSC base, but, you do seem to know better than me.

No, it was top secret. They won't be there anymore, unless they are still training Spartans. Which i doubt. We can run through a list of Spartan training bases though.

Well, let's do it. I can get us the list, I just need to get to a UNSC planet or computer terminal and it's ours. Maybe I'll even find out what your last name is. Unless of course Jay Fortuni appeals. =I laugh and double up from pain= okay, no laughter, way too painful.
