Chapter 3-A: Calm before the Storm Part 2

I grunt and heave myself up off of the floor

Come on, you can't honestly surrender yet. You haven't tried any of your "great" moves

I grin at him

=i smile and stay on the floor, i roll onto my back and put my hands behind my head, feet crossed= That's because they don't have a non-lethal form. The first one you saw shatters the bones in the hip and lower rib and sends them into internal organs. The second both snaps the neck and crushes the back of the skull.

I wanted to spar, not kill you. And to watch you sweat.

=I interrupt the strange comment=

Me: Sooo.. do you want me to leave now?

Please you couldn't make me sweat if you tried.

I relax my stance.

I glance at Snow

I could care less what you do.

I grin back

I turn back to Snow

Do you have a reason to be here? Or are you that sick of complaining about being a hostage you decided to come pledge allegiance or whatever it is you do.

Me: Of course I have a reason to be here

=I unholster my pistol=

I raise my eyebrows and laugh

What your going to shoot us?

Me: Of course not.. I am going to kill you.

=I aim the pistol at them=

=i sigh= Seriously, Snow? What about your family and friends?

Me: The only way to see my family and friends is if I kill you.

I laugh again and slowly walk towards Snow

Come on Snow, what would that accomplish. We are the only thing keeping you alive anymore. The UNSC would just kill you if you tried to go back to them.

You sure? You can fly a pelican all the way from this solar system to Sol? How about food, water, air? My offer still stands.

Me: Maybe so.. but killing you would be a reason for them to take me back

=i rush forward and take the gun from his hand. i toss it to the far corner of the room and pin him against the wall. i slip, losing myself=

The ODST who killed two Spartans? That's all they'd have to say. Even if they didn't execute you, you really think there would be a single person who didn't hate you?

I keep walking towards Snow and Dormii.

=I struggle to get away, I punch Dormii in the stomach=

Me: Let me go! If you guys would have just left me on that planet, I would be back to my normal life!

I run forward and hold Dormii's arm back, but don't take the knife away

Snow. Give me one good reason i shouldn't let him kill you now. After everything you've done to us.

=I reach for Dormii's knife aswell, taking the knife and stabbing Dormii in the leg=

Me: I don't have one!

=I run down the hall=

I sigh to myself and throw Dormii away from Snow. I chase Snow and tackle him then rip the knife from Snow's hand, breaking his wrist as i do so and hold it to his throat.

You are going to tell me why i shouldn't kill you.

Me: I will not..

=I struggle at the knife=

I push harder, drawing a little blood.

Don't make me. We can help you. We can give you what you want. Is there really any need for this.

=my body walks along after them, ignoring all that i do. i can feel that it wants to kill=

=I start the cough a little=

I laugh and push off the wall so that i'm back over him

I kick Dormii away with my foot and rip the medical bag away from Snow.

=I pull the knife out, screaming at the top of my lungs=

As many times as i have to to ensure our survival. Run you coward. We'll see how far you get before the UNSC catches up to you.

I unlock the hanger bay doors via remote activation

Me: I have some unfinished business!

=I head to the armoury and retrieve an SMG and pistol=

Me: Come get me!

(I wake up on my bunk)

A ship has been my home for years, never a house with a family

(I look at my armor)

Look at yourself Marcus. What has all these year been dedicated to? Service, always service.

(I feel an old anger well up)

But what home do I have now? The Coevenant burned what home I had left.

(In my fatigues, I go to the wieght room and find a punching bag)

A life spent in service to the UNSC, and what did I get back? Nothing, just a planet in a body bag.

(I start taking my anger out on the bag)

All I want is to have a normal life. A place I can call home. But that option has been denied to me, twice over.

(I stop and find a corner wall to sit, arms hiding my face)

=i pass out, my leg bleeding immensely from a deep cut=

I shout to Snow.

Why should i waste myself on you. Your pathetic.

Me: Fine then I will

=I take aim at Jay and open fire=

I tut and dive around the nearby corner.

Your going to kill me Snow? That's what this has come down to? Think about it, all i've got to do is sit and wait for you to bleed to death. That leg wound is pretty bad.

I wave something around the corner and pull it back out of sight

Oh look, i'm the one with the medical bag.

=I look down to see no bag=

Me: Go ahead.. I have been worse

=I run toward the corner and pieing it.=

I suddenly jump out from around the corner, grabbing Snow by the throat and slamming him onto the floor. I stomp on his hands and kick the weapons away from him. I knee him in the face, knocking him unconscious and drag him towards the escape pods. Once there i chuck him inside along with his medical bag and launch the pod.

=I find myself in a large empty space=

=I awake in a pool of blood, I hit the release button and I fall out of the pod=

Me: Why me..

=I slowly begin to fall into unconsciousness again.=

I turn around, remembering Dormii and rush back to him. Once there i rip my clothing and wrap it around his wound.

Come on, wake up.
