The Rise RP: Mission Three

=I laugh at the joke he cracked=

We might get lucky and only lose us two..

(Wielder)
"Ill watch over.... myself. Good luck."
=I pinch my nose between my eyes.=
"Is it hot to you?"

What'dya think? I'm in this spartan suit a lot.

=I sigh =

Cool it you two. You aren't the ones jumping from the ship.

=I point to those selected for jumping=

We are. You guys get to go down in drop pods.

Paarthurnax remained silent, just thinking about the Drop. Last time he lost many warriors. He could not have a repeat of last time. He looks towards the Officer, the human.

"What kind of resistance will await us, in this forsaken realm?"

Just then an electric shock was felt all over his body, he screamed (a manly scream) and he threw his helmet to the floor beneath him. His shields were wavy, so were the lights on his weapons.

"Faasnu graan liiv?"

"Anyone else feel that?"

(Bunda Darma)
"What do you mean? Are you ok?"
=I fall uncontrollable in pain.=
"Gahhh!"

(Jovac Donjen)
"Never could take pain huh Darma?"
=I laugh some more until it hit me too.=
=I scream (a even more manly scream) and fall into my uncomfortable small chair.=
"..."
=I couldn't talk.=

(Golen Dasra)
"Oh sh... Argghh!"
=I clutch my head violently.=
=I manage to stay on my feet.=

He looked to his Lance, they too had felt this, they were shaking uncontrollably as their shields spiked all over the place. Paarthurnax had fell to his knees. His armour was locking up, shocks being put through his body. His muscles pumped as he tried to break free.

"What is this sorcery?"

All of the Sangheili had fallen, trying to break free of this electric wave, the humans remained okay, looking as if it was some sort of sick joke.

"Armour, disable...DISABLE!"

His armour continued to lock up and shock them.

(Jovac Donjen)
"..."
Why can't I speak? Is he saying armour disable? Our armour is doing this. I need to speak!
=The shocking continued, painfully.=

(Bunda Darma)
"Armour... dislock... Armour Dis.. able."
=It wasn't working because my short yelps of pain in between.=
"Armour..."

(Golen Dasra)
=I still stood. I was trained to be a tank in a sense.=
"What is this?!"
=My head hurt worse now.=

Paarthurnax used his bulging muscles to fight against the pain, he still lay on his knees, wondering what was going on, His armour wasn't going to disable, this wasn't their armour, but something doing something to the armour. Paarthurnax reached for his helmet, he placed it firmly on his head.

"System...Shields, disable."

His shields disabled and the pain continued, his armour fried, with smoke pouring off. The pain was unbearable once it had stopped, his armour started burning him, overheating.

"System...Armour cooling system, enable."

=Inter-comm=
"Attention all personell! We've been hit by a solar flare, if you experienced a flux in your shielding or in any of your electronic devices, that is why. Our back up generators have activated, we're repairing the main generators."

He heard the Inter-Comm, loud and clear. How could they be sure of that, not that he was doubting them or anything, but, it just seemed weird. His Armour's cooling system did the trick, de-heating his armour and body. His Lance and the other Lance seemed okay now, which was good. He stood at last, his legs hurting from being down for so long.

"System, bring the shields back online."

"Right away, Commanding Officer."

His shields charged back up, they seemed to be fine.

(Golen Dasra)
"Solar Flare...."
=The burning continued. I couldn't stop it.=
"Armour. Disable. Shields Disable. "
=After that the burning kept coming.=
"Armour. Cooling Systems Activate."

(Jovac Donjen)
=I noticed everyone else turning their armour off, shields.=
=My tongue felt burnt to a crisp.=
"..."
=I couldn't talk to save my life and on this case quite literally.=

(Bunda Darma)
"Armour emergency shut down."
=It shut down but the burning continued.=
"Cool it! Turn the systems on!"
=It came back to life and the cooling process started.=

Paarthurnax turned around to see the other Lance, to ensure they were okay. They were all fine, until he noticed one of their warriors still suffering. No-one knew.
Paarthurnax ran over to him, before grabbing his helmet and tearing it off of him. He continued to take off his Armour, working diligently, removing his chest pieces, trying to remove all of his chest, so that the shields would disable. He looked around whilst doing so.

"Do not just stand there!"

I ignore whatever was going on with the Elites. It did not interest me. Instead i stand up and leave the room, heading for the armoury to make instant modifications to the new armour. I stop at the door and turn to look at Neon.

Welcome to Alpha. Keep that mouth in check and we'll get along fine.

I leave then

=He pulled off a couple pieces so I thought I should help.=
=I started with my gauntlets pulling them off quickly.=
=I can't believe I didn't think of this. Total idiot.=

(Golen Dasra)
=I look to Jovac who was being helped.=
=I start helping starting with his leg armour.=

(Bunda Darma)
=I still sit there bearing the pain.=
=I was never one for pain, I could barely handle it.=

=Jr Intel Officer Stacy=
"Right, well, we'll meet again on the ground."

"Stacy, who else is going down?"

=Jr Intel officer Stacy=

"Alpha, Beta, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot, and what's left of Hotel."

=Heads to the Tech lab to pick up the Armor.=

=I'd stood... Or sat... Or a mixture of somewhat both for however long the briefing went on. Then, once I guessed it was over, as people were well... Leaving, I left the room and started to make my way to the Tech Lab. That was where all the fancy dancy stuff, the stuff I actually liked, was... Stored, in a way. And the armour was there. I thought so anyway.=

=I head to the tech lab to get armored up=

=I take one look at the armor a whistle appreciatvely=

Hot damn...the tech on this armor is amazing

=I start to suit up and checkout the systems=

Wow...I used to think I wore the armor. Now I think it'll be wearing ME.

The three of them quickly got the armour off, the overall suit remained. It didn't take them that long. Paarthurnax removed his helmet, before forcing his head back. Paarthurnax got his hands and forced the mandibles over, so he could see inside the mouth. Nothing severe, just swollen a little, the heat had forced the throat to close.

"I cannot see any damage, you should be fine warrior. Consider yourself lucky. Wait for your armour to cool down, before putting it back on."

=Gets in his suit of armor, after stripping his first uniform off.=
"Gah, I hope this isn't like the first time they put me in mjolnir armor, they had to resize it, I was too big."

(Jovac Donjen)
=Within a minute or so my armour was off, sizzling.=
=My flesh was steaming and in serious pain, almost like torture.=
=I was surprised to feel my mouth opened.=
=I look to him and nod appreciatively.=

(Bunda Darma)
=I stood up and walked over.=
"Thank You, Paarthurnax. You've already proven that you are a better leader."
=I look down at Jovac.=
'I am sorry."

=I head off to the armory, saluting the officers=

(Wielder)
"Alright. We should get going, Neon."
=I grab his collar as if a parent would and drag him towards the armoury.=

Paarthurnax looks over to the Officer, the Sangheili Special Operations Officer.

"You are a mighty warrior, if not for your Commanding skills, you and your Lance would have been with the gods now. I appreciate your judgement, but it is a necessary skill that you and your warriors have hopefully leant."

He looked to his warriors as they stood behind him.

"I do what I feel is best, fortunately, that has gotten us through so much."

He smiles, before placing his helmet on his head.

(Bunda Darma)
"Only with your leadership skills have you survived."
=I look him in the face.=
"Thank you."
=I look to my warriors, my friends.=
"Once you are ready, Jovac, We'll go to the dropping bay."

Paarthurnax nodded.

"You are very welcome, I did what I thought was best."

He looked to the one called Jovac.

"When you're ready, we shall go."

=heads to the drop pod hangar and gets ready=

=I follow him=

Drop pods? Hmm?

..Not bad.

(Wielder)
"Drop pods are a lot better then free falling let me tell ya."
=I laugh at the last mission's memory.=
"Don't ever close your eyes."

(Jovac Donjen)
=I stand up, they have waited long enough.=
=I look to everyone then start attaching my armour back on.=

(Golen Dasra)
"Are you sure you are ready? You can't speak and you have been badly burned. I do not think you are ready. I highly suggest you rest, Jovac."
=I place my hand on his shoulder, caringly.=
"Let me help you to the medical center

(Jovac Donjen)
=I wave my hand in his direction telling him no.=
=After that, silence, awhile later my armour is back on.=
=I gesture for Darma to lead.=

(Bunda Darma)
"Alright. If you are willing."
=I walk out the door head to where I think would be the dropping area.=
"Lets see if I remember. Being on their ships has advantages."

Well...
...When do we launch?

=I look at him=

(Wielder)
"I'm guessing when the intercom says so or everyone gets ready."
=I look around.=
"Armoury is over here."
=I point to it then go to it.=
"So what are you good at?"
=We enter the armoury.=

=I look at him=

"Being a smart ass."

=I laugh a little and look forward=

"CQC, Rifles, Hacking. A few others I guess, and you?"

(Wielder)
=I couldn't help but to laugh.=
"Me? Well. I have two jobs which really don't go together. I get along though."
=I walk over to my armour, GUNGNIR.=
"I'm a medic mainly but can use the hell out of turrets. Odd right?"

=I stop behind him=

"I guess. Well, what do I do?"

(Wielder)
"So you are a jack of all trades? Something always needed."

=get in his designated drop pod and closes the door and gets ready for it to spin down and launch=

I mutter to myself as I leave the armour, passing Neon and Weilder.

You'd think they keep armour in the armoury, but no...

I head to the tech labs to get the new armour, unhappy about having it

Paarthurnax leads on, ensuring the Lances are following him. He remains silent as he does so.

=I look at Wielder with a confused stare=

Uh, what?

=I watch our squad leader mutter some things while walking away from us=

That's...odd.

(Wielder)
"You said something about being good at hacking, rifles and something else. So I was asking if you were a jack of all trades. A little bit of good at everything."
=I notice Sparrow is gone.=
"Don't mind her shes a little mad 'bout the armour thing. Wait, do mind her shes the boss."

=I look at the helmet=

Hello beautiful...oh you have a scouting attachment, perfect

=I put the hemet on=

Least we can hope for is nothing goes wrong...

=I get the jump rig and then make for the armory=

"Oh, I guess."

=I laugh=

She seems pretty upset. Is she always like that?

(Wielder)
"Seems like that sometimes. But most of the time... well lets say she fits the role of leader."
=I smile which bursts into a laugh.=
"If she ever heard that I might lose two comrades."

=sets his gear in the racks and leans back and takes a nap while waiting for the mission to start=

=I look at Wielder=

Heh..

=I laugh a little=

She'd kill you first.

(Wielder)
=I had started putting on my armour starting with my boots.=
"I don't think so, shes a pilot. Though still a Spartan I think I could take her."

I go walking past the armoury door in the opposite direction, realising i had gone the wrong way upon leaving the armoury. This ship was still a mystery to me. I overheard a few words out of Weilders mouth

I heard that. Anytime, just ask during downtime between missions. We can go if you want.

I continue walking in my direction, hopefully now to the tech labs.

(Wielder)
"You can count on it!"
=I finish putting on my leg armour.=
=I started laughing out of... well I just laughed. I don't know why.=
"Oh well. *Yawn* This next mission sounds simple."
=I finish with the legs then start on the chest armour.=

=I laugh and punch Wielders shoulder=

I'll bet she'll win.

=I laugh even harder=

(Wielder)
=I finish with the chest and start on the arms.=
"You'll be surprised on how much they train medics in hand to hand. Thats if she means hand to hand and not full blown killing."
=I laugh also.=
"You know how much she wants to kill me."
=I finish the arms.=
