Chapter 3-A: Calm before the Storm Part 3

=She holds the gun in her hands, fearful of what this weapon has done in Macgraw's hands=
I'm right behind you... There's only one exit we have to be careful

David remembers comms are up again and tries to access them, "Guys, what's going on?" He then heard the boom from the back of the facility and hugged the nearest wall, wishing that old armor they had found was functional.

(He goes out the door into the hallway)
(They head down to the exit)
(He flips off his light)
@Ash
Ok.
You ready.

=She nods, another bolt of lighting is heard as a sudden rainstorm appears=
I've got your back...
=She raises her gun=

(The door opens and they rush out)
(They begin looking around)
@Ash
You have anything

=SHI squad gets to the top of the compound's main bulding. They set up to drop in through an already broken skylight window=

Sun- The target should be near. =to team= Remember, this is an S&R Mission. Keep it clean.

=They drop in, using the maps uploaded to their HUDs to navigate the building=

=She look's around the rain covers her eyes=
I can't see a thing... Wait..?

=She see's a shadow moving in the distance, she points at it=

@Ash
Could be something
Lets go
(They head off where the shadow was)

Yeah could be Macgraw!? We have to be careful

=She pulls Draco into cover=

David noticed Draco and Ash and jogged over to them, "What the hell is going on?"

(They stick to the cover)
(following the footprints left in the mud)

=Voutan notices many blips on his HUD's radar=

Voutan- Stay low. If Necessary, call in the Drones. we have about 20 in the Cargo bay back on the Spirit.

=They continue navigating the building, searching for their target=

David followed behind, holding his handgun up in Central Axis Relock position.

=Ash followed behind Draco watching his back=
Where are we going to go!? The pelican isn't here!?

"We need to find out who's here, and how they got here. I doubt it's whoever owned this place, unless they have a bunker somewhere. And if it's not, they came in via ship, and that ship is more than likely still up there."

David noticed the rain and sighed "I hate the jungle."

@Ash and David
Lets go around to the front
I doubt that they stuck out here for this long

(They keep to cover and make it to the entrance)
(They walk in, He flips on his thermal vision setting)

(They walk around)

=After walking around for a bit, they decide to head back to the top of the building. Vas spots the target. They lay down on the roof. Vas takes his sniper out, while Voutan and Immer cover the possible ways to the rooftop. Vas uses his sniper to mark the target on their HUD's. he puts his scopes over tho one accompanying it, assuming they are captors. he prepares to take off its head=

=Ash whispers=
This is a bad idea.... We should just head for the caves... They won't find us in there

"I wish I still had that ODST body armor right about now..." He looked around, not seeing anyone, "Anything?"

=Vas steadies his hand. He gently pulls the trigger, just as a bolt of lightning strikes the ground nearby. This startles him and he misses the mark just slightly. All 3 of them duck down behind something=

Sun- Ach! You damn Fuckup!

(He smiles)
A true Sniper doesnt get startled by something like that

David does a tuck and roll once he hears the shot go off. He looks to where the bullet hit and fires three shots to the sniper's location, which may or may not hit due to the suppressor.

=Ash ducks behind cover she looks around to see if the others are O'k=
Everyone good? Damm they have snipers!

=A few shots from a suppressed rifle strike the roof nearby. He notices where the bullets are coming from=

Vas- Thats our guy! Move!

=They head back down off the roof and close to a nearby shed-like building=

David looks to Draco and Ash, "You guys go to the caves, I'll draw them away." With that David reached into his bag, hoping he still had some spare flashbangs -which he did-. He'd save those for later, however.

=Ash looks over to David=
David were not leaving... they have us all pinned...

Andrea scan any hostiles in this area or anywhere

*Scanning*
*Nothing found*

Hmm

They must have left.

"I have several distractions planned, I just need to implement them...Besides, I'd prefer to take them alive anyways." David blind-fired two more shots from his cover.

=Ash looks over at Draco=
I'm not going out there...!? You think if they set up snipers that they something to block your scans... This is crazy their just waiting for us!

=Another lighting strike lights up the battlefield=

@Ash
I doubt they are that smart
Didnt even know people were here
They are looking for something, however.
Just gotta find out what

"Where is everyone else? We need some damn back-up." David tried to get a view of the sniper for a split-second, before going back to cover.

Fine...

=Ash sighed and held up her weapon=
When ever your ready...

=As they pass by the 3 people, about 20 yards away, Immer rolls a flashbang into their cover, before the SHIs move up top of the Shed-like structure=

David notices the flashbang, as it hits his foot, and kicks it away, still bracing for the flash however, "Flashbang!"

(He sees the flashbang)
Crap.
Look away, cover your eyes!

(The flashbang goes off. knocking out his hearing for a minute)
Ow.

=Ash is blinded by the flashbang=
Agh!?

=She fires blindly in fear=

=from the top of the shed, Immer throws a bubblesheild around David, and drops a stickey grenade to the outside of the shield=

(He sees a faint blue orb fall)
Crap

(He grabs Ash's hand and they make a run for it)

=From the rooftop, Voutan and Immer begin firing their assault rifles at the two running hosiles=

David rubs his eyes and waits for his hearing to come to, "Sunnuvabitch..." As soon as his hearing comes to, he notices to blurred figures on the shed and peeks back down, blind-firing in that general direction once again, "They have camo."

=Ash wipes her eyes recovering her vision=
I think I did...!

=She takes aim and crouch's to better her aim=
I think I see one!

=She fires, the M99's bullets pelt her targets position=

Voutan drops down from the shed and walks over to David, having Vas and Immer cover him with ther assault rifle and sniper=

Voutan- David Clark!

David hears his name and he looks almost puzzled. He hears someone drop and waits, ducking silently and waiting for the footsteps to get louder.

=Voutan approaches=

Voutan- I can see you perfectly clearly on my HUD. Do not be alarmed. I am Voutan Reist of SHI squad. We have been employed by ONI to rescue you from your Rebel captors.

=Ash see's the man near David she fires, bullets miss the man barely=
Where is the guy? I can't see anything...?

=Vas aims his sniper at the approaching woman. He fires a shot, taking her left leg almost completely off=

David looks up and rolls to the right, avoiding the blast and sniper rifle shot. David looks back at Ash, then to the sniper "Hold your fire!"

Agh!

=Ash screamed in pain as she fell to the ground the noise echoed=
Agh! My leg...!

=She began to cry in pain, Draco was stuck behind cover unable to move=

=i get up, pain everywhere. I somehow have the energy to get up. I see a shadow shoot Ash. I pick up the hook-cable-blade and swing it at the shadow, catching it on top of where the backpack would be on SPARTAN armor and dragging it toward me. somehow i scream=

NO ONE HARMS MY FRIENDS!! YOU WILL DIE!!

=A grappeling hook catches Voutan as he is walking towards David and begins to drag him slowly=

Voutan- Oh son of a bitch!

=He draws his knife and stabs the rope to the ground, slicing it. He gets abck up and signals Vas. He raises his sniper and fires a warning shot just under his right arm=
