ok we jump out then we fall towards the grav lift 3/4 of the way down let's go

I smile as I jump off the ship.

I turn on the comm to Zeru.

I already lost my stomach, metaphorically of course. Still, that feeling of flying is amazing.

I don't enter the grav beam yet either, mainly because I enjoy free falling.

=we hit the grav beam, and Burk instantly shuts up. The rest of us are chuckling and laughing to each other because of what Burk was doing. He was laughing as well, just due to the ridiculousness=

"How would you know about my armour anyway? It just so happens to have said safety measures."
I swing to my right and enter the grav beam. I look up to the four soldiers and look down to Zeru.
Making sure that everyone is alive and accounted for.

=i see the ground coming up to meet us. I send a static burst so everyone pays attention, and adjusts accordingly. We all flip over so our feet our down and our arms are out, so when we land we land smoothly=

I straighten myself up, legs down and arms at my side. Then I land on the ground with a soft thud, finding Zeru nearby.
I step out of the beam and look up at the soldiers, then look at my surroundings. Not much to look at.

I grab my rifle and follow the group, standing above them slightly. I look around again just to make sure the area is clear.

=after some time, we see the location in the distance, a half-built casino. Deniv calls me up=
"That the place, Pair?"

I mute my helmet so I can talk to Elane without interruption.
"A half built casino? What a strange place for a hide out."
Elane - Exactly. No one would expect this place. Just be on your guard.

=we keep walking, getting closer. I zoom in to the building, trying to see what was going on. I saw nothing but the odd welding spark or glow from a flashlight in the interior sections=

Sorry Corporal, but the drinks will have to wait. Everything is set for your mission, and this simulation was the last thing we needed to get done.

Wait, seriously? We complete one sim, and you're throwing us out there on our first real mission?

Unfortunately, yes. We don't know how long the rebels will be at that location. If we wait for much longer, they might move and wipe any trace of their presence, and we're back to square one.

(Crowe)
Damn....hate to say it, but he's got a point guys.

(Conner)
Agreed. Alright Admiral, what are our current orders?

(Jason)
Report back to the airfields at Alpha Base. There's a transport waiting for you guys there, set to take you up the Hyperion. Check your visors on the way up, by then the location of your quarters should be transferred to you.

(Conner)
Okay then. Alpha Team, move out.

Wait. First things first sir.
=I took the flag off from the pole. It was a typical, blue flag, no logo to speak of on it. Despite holding it in gloved hands, I could tell it was made of soft fabric, almost like a blanket. It was small, so that made what came next easier: I tore it into four separate shreds of about equal size=

Chris, what are you doing?
=My question was quickly answered when she passed me one of the strips=

I figured that since we lack an official emblem, we'll just have to settle for this.
=I handed the other two strips to Crowe and Trevor, saving the last for myself. I tied it around my right arm, between the elbow and shoulder=

=we came up to the edge of the construction site and stopped, crouching down behind some concrete bags
Pair, go in, infiltrate as best you can.

"Got it. I'll also see if I can take out some of their guards."

No, not yet. Not until we know for sure what we are getting into here.

=i turned on my camo, getting a feel for the timer on the ability and then moved around the side of the bags and started going towards the main building, working my way from cover to cover even in active camo, just to be sure=

Last I checked, we were called "Alpha Team," not "Blue Team."

=i got closer to the building, the people being much more visible now. As I stepped into it through a hole in a wall, I saw they were all feeding works of metal into automated welding devices. The machines weren't doing anything, just making sparks and casting light to simulate welding. I started to work my way around, stepping lightly, yet moving as fast as I could to through the area and not bump into anyone. I saw that most if not all were armed with small weapons, SMGs, pistols, sawn off shotguns, etc. The ones that I could see the front of had silencers on them. Even the shotguns=

I nod in response before crouching down to make myself less visible. Being a Spartan has it's downsides.

From what I can see, there are maybe twelve to twenty lightly armed soldiers in here, acting like construction workers. They have smaller caliber weapons, all with silencers. I'm heading up to the second floor.

"That's extremely risky. If she's caught then she's dead. And no one can back her up in time."

Why does he care about her armour? Strange.
