(Aaron)
"James. James Cook. He was a Corporal. Why, might I ask?"

(Naomi)
"Curious, because that's not his name."
I sigh.
"How many men did he kill?"

I nod then lead her back over to the bed, handing her another stimpack.

"You're still in a bad shape Williams.. just take it easy, we'll handle everything else."

(Aaron - Platoon Captain)
"The ones that just went missing? Uhh. Let's see.. there was Damitri, Marcus, Kennedy, Logan, Tyrone. And then the minefield...
Three more there. And recently Ryan. So... nine men altogether."

(Clay)
"What about the two that were killed by other Legionnaires when I arrived?"

(Aaron)
"They were killed by Legion... wait. Make that eleven."

(Kelly)

I hated it, being unable to act. And having the Enclave protect me.
But, the Enclave commander was right.

(Naomi)

"And that's why the Legion is so effective. They have spies everywhere."

I put my rifle on my back and crouch next to Cook.
"Wakey Wakey."

(Occulta Vulpes)
I'm faintly aware someone was talking to me. Whoever it was I didn't want to talk to them anyway. So I just don't move.

(Naomi)

I slap his cheek lightly.
"Come on, or am I going to have to hunt down Caesar while I'm waiting?"

(Occulta Vulpes)
'Fuck off. You'd never make it within two hundred metres of Caesar."

(Naomi)
"How do you know I haven't already? I had a crosshair covering that fat bastard's bald head a few days ago."

I smile at him.

(Occulta Vulpes)
"The mighty Caesar is still alive, that is how I know."

(Naomi)

I smile again.
"What's your name? And don't bullshit me. I know you're not James Cook."

(Occulta Vulpes)
'Quit it with your games wretch. Whatever it is you want from me you won't have."

(Naomi)
I sight.
"Fine, die as a member of the NCR."

I stand and raise my rifle, pointing it directly at his forehead.

Somewhere in the far, empty wastes of the Capital wasteland, a young Deathclaw was slain painfully by some sort of Robotic Dog.

(Occulta Vulpes)
I let a few seconds go by. To see if she was willing, from what I could tell. She is.
"Wait."

(Naomi)
"Want to talk?"

(Occulta Vulpes)
"My name is Occulta Vulpes, not a member of the degnerate army, but a Frumentarii. One of the best of Caesar's Legion."
I stare her dead in the eyes.
"Do not mistake mistake this for fear, wretch. I do not fear death nor you."

(Clay)
I want to say something but don't because, well. This is a Ranger. Sure a Ranger whose come from out of nowhere, still a ranger.

I yell out from behind the car. "Hey, just calm down. Any chance we can come to a truce?!" I toss my rifle and pistol out into the street, and hunkered down some more, looking at the grenade on my belt. I'd better keep that. I then yelled out. "I mean no harm!"

I walk out, glaring at the man.

"Leave now and we won't kill you.. I'll give you 30 seconds to decide."

I nod, standing up. "Don't shoot." I flash him my frag grenade. "You'll regret it." I went and collected my things before moving back a few blocks, checking for mutants. I would be back, I thought. Trust me.

I looked up, watching the man as he began to leave the area. Whatever Mutants that were left had fled the area, aware of their quick demise.
Typical of another Mutant Raiding Party.
I looked down at what I assumed was the Enclaves leader, donned in a simple Officers uniform.
Even if this was just some surviving party, I knew it was my duty to destroy them.

"Don't. Move!"

I stood still, my hands holding onto the pistol tight. I wasn't as good a shot as I used to be, but I could hit a target.

(Naomi)

"Well, Occulta, the Legion isn't going to win, seeing as one of Caesar's 'finest' got discovered and interrorgated. Aren't you supposed to kill yourself before that?"

(Occulta Vulpes)
"Why would I do that? The Legion would indeed lose one of their best. Plus, the Legion is everywhere. They'll be here in no time."
I was bluffing, it was all too obvious. But I'm counting on them not knowing that. But I keep the act up.
"And I'd hate to miss out seeing you in a slave collar. As my bitch."
I put on a devilish grin.

I look up at the voice and sigh.

"We're not your enemy.. leave before pointless killing happens.."

"You're Enclave, aren't you? Or are you just some Rebel group that managed to scavenge some nice armor?"

I grip the pistol tight, sweating softly. This must've been the direction of whoever killed or kidnapped Kelly... If these are them, I'm not gonna hesitate.

I grit my teeth. Some people never change, thats why Rapture had stayed holed up in a Metro for so long.

"The Enclave Sector in this region is destroyed. We are a squad that served in Enclave, but are no longer part of the Enclave."

I nodded softly, eyeing her body, trying to look for any kind of strange or questionable movements.

"I see."
I grit my teeth a little, frowning. "What are Remnants like you doing this close to Brotherhood territory?"

I put my hand on my pistol, waiting for him to lower his.

"A large tribe of raiders have made their way into the DC area.. We were going to see if there was anything we could do about it."

I raise my brow, smirking softly. I wonder how many of them are...

"I'm coming down. If you are indeed no enemy of mine, then this should be fine for you."

I wasn't all to ready to be letting people walk in after that last guy, but if could be help then I was OK with it.

"Fine, but take it slowly and no sudden movements.."

"I know the drill." I lower my sidearm and hitch it back onto my belt, as I slowly exit the large ruined structure, walking out via one of the crumbling walls, my arms by my side.

I stood still, looking at the Officer, my right hand resting hardly an inch from my pistol.
"Good enough?"

I nod.

"You BoS?"

(Naomi)

"Thanks for the talk. I think it's over now though. You won't tell me anything useful, so why keep you alive?"

I place the barrel of my rifle against his forehead.

I hesitate for a moment, and then nod.

"Was. Left after... After the passing of the Lyons."
I looked away, clearing my throat a little. "Are you alone?"

I sit there for a second, sizing him up.

"What if I am? What would you do...?"

I look her down, frowning harder, my blood slowly building.

"I'm not sure yet. I might burn a hole through your head, I might leave, I might ask more questions."
I rest my hand on my pistol, looking into her eyes.

"So?"

=I, of course, headed back to my residence with very little problems. I had my supplies of food and ammunition for the next two weeks until I topped it off again in another two weeks. That is, if Arnie wasn't going to stop mooching off of me=

I'm going to kick him out if he doesn't leave...and fuck him if he complains...

=I arrive at my residence to find that, much to my chagrin; Arnie is still there, mooching off of me and drunk as a fish=

Now you have 15 seconds to get the hell off of my property before I make you food for the Deathclaws...GOT IT?!?!

=Arnie nods then half runs, half stumbles away, from my residence with a surprising speed for a drunk man of his stature=

Idiot...he'll be dead in a few hours...

=I walk into my place I called home and sat down on a chair, content with living alone=

I glare.

"I'm not alone.. so watch it pal."

"Hmm."

I look back, and then turn rapidly, pulling my pistol up and aiming it at your chest, snarling a little.
"Did you attack a water caravan earlier?!"

I don't move an inch, but just stare him down. Behind me Wellman appears on top of a stack of destroyed cars, his cross hairs trained on the man.

"You want to lower that gun before you do something stupid.."

I stay stock still, not even flinching as the soldier appears in my field of view. I rest a finger on the trigger, facing her.

"Answer me. I wont hesitate to pull this trigger."

I glare.

"You approach me, a citizen of the wasteland, pull a gun on me and accuse me of a crime I didn't commit... you have to be the stupidest soldier I've ever seen. Now lower the gun."

"I've lost someone very important to me, 'citizen'. I'm willing to mow down every single person in this Wasteland to find her."

I twitch a little, my eyes wild. I take a deep few breaths, and begin to lower my gun.

"Please... have you at least seen any attacked Brotherhood members in the last hour?"

Out in the wastes, a small radroach, it's back leg injured, crawled from under the wreckage of a dark red car. It glanced around, before fleeing back under the safety of the machine.

I face softens, and I motion for Wellman to stand down.

"You're talking about Kelly I'm guessing?"

I drop my gun, stepping forward, my eyes wide, my heart thumping hard in my chest.

"You've seen her? Is she okay?" I say rapidly, not taking a breath.

I nod, and raise a hand to calm him down.

"Yeah, we found her wounded and brought her here.. Shes inside.."

I motion for him to follow me. And enter the Ally.

I follow close, my chest rising and falling fast, my mind filled with thoughts. Enclave? Why? They'd rescued her?
What was going on...

Something about this was very weird.

I walk over to kelly who was laying down on the mattress.

"I've got a friend of yours here to see you.."

(Kelly)

I look up and see Gideon.

"I'm surprised you didn't stay hidden in Rivet City."
