Barenziah rolled her eyes. "That is why you don't fucking threaten superiors. But I won't choose; it's upto a judge to determine your fate. I'm just the delivery girl."

He looked at her. "You really don't know, do you? With my knowledge of shadowy events and absurd amounts of Alliance intel, I can't hope for anything but life imprisonment." He sighed. "Well, at least one of us cares." He looked at this datapad, and it began to go into his bank account, transferring money to the citadel, and info to the Archangel. "Next time you go the the Citadel, tell the barkeeper, "Ragnarok has been overcome." Free drinks for everyone, courtesy of me.

Barenziah blinked.
"Alright..." she said. "But. Never count your chickens before you hatch."
The Kodiak approached the Hanger

I lay there stroking her hair and sides while she sleeps. After a few minutes I smile and give her a kiss before climbing down. Someone comes on the intercom and notifies the crew of a shuttle landing in the hanger. Having nothing to do, I walk down to the hanger to check it out.

The shuttle settled down, and the Marines hustled Tom off. Barenziah stepped down beside him.
"Take him to the brig." She said. Then she spotted Staria.
"Corporal Dalinark." She said once she approached. "I trust Ops Chief Connor has not broken anything or anyone while under your watch?"

I smile and walk over to her.

"No ma'am, she's been a sweet angel."

I motion to Tom.

"Hope you didn't have any trouble."

I was "escorted" to the brig by some angry marines. They threw me in a holding cell, made a few jokes about caged animals, and then walked off. I sat in my cell, wondering what dark, decrepit hole they would take me into. I looked around the room, trying to find a way out, when I realized: If I tried to get out, it would only make things worse. I then leaned back against the wall and fell into a deep sleep.

"A sweet angel? Interesting word choice Corporal." She sighed. "He's a handfull." She waved her off. "Please keep Connor out od trouble while I take this man to the brig. Then be ready to go. We'll need your medical expertise."

I sat in the Brig, waiting for the great and powerful Lieutenant-Commander Barenziah. I sighed, and flipped off my Marine guard. He couldn't see, and I knew it. I also knew I was acting childish, but at this point, it was of little consequence. I dropped my hand, and then asked. "Hey, grunt, where's Barenziah?"

I nod and head off back to Sera.

"Dealing with matters that do not concern you." He responded, ignoring his disrespect. "You can file a complaint when the bucket of fucks I don't give is filled "

I am now at the bar again coz the guy from before was gone.

I walk into the barracks and up to Sera. I didn't want to wake her but thought I should tell her. I gently shake her.

"Hey, they brought back some soldier. I didn't catch his name, but he seemed to piss of the XO.."

He sighed. "Listen here, you little fuckwit. I know I could easily kill you, even now. However, I like you. I don't plan to file any complaints. Giving a little respect, and you'll get some. Are we clear?" He then continued his half-sleeping and deep thought.

The marine ignored him, continuing his guard detail.

Sera groaned, waking up. "Ok?" She sighed. "And I was sleeping beacefully with you hugging me..." she smiles softly.

I give a apologetic smile.

"Sorry babe, I'll join you in a bit. But this guy, its the one form the Afterlife.. you know the drunk."

"Oh." Glancing around, Seea pulled Staria close and kissed her. "No private dances for him or I'll be banning you from cuddling for awhile."

He thought for a long while. What happened? Where'd it all go wrong? The drinking? The drugs? No and no. Maybe, just maybe, it was the whole "respect" thing. That might be it. He thought on it some more, going in and out of sleep.

=The two pretended not to notice the Turian following them, but they picked up their pace slightly, now in more of a fast-walk. They were clearly headed somewhere, not just wandering aimlessly, but where exactly that was was not clear=

I continued following, noting that the Aliens had started walking faster. I was still attempting to be discreet, but, it was not working, or that's what I thought. Maybe it was, they had yet to turn around.

I return the kiss then break off.

"You're the only one I dance for now Sera, Promise."

I woke up. How long had it been? 5 minutes? 10? Half an hour? It really didn't matter. I had all the time in the world, honestly. None of it mattered anymore. I could find something to hang myself, breakout and shoot myself with the Marine's weapon. But no. Not yet. Not until I was 100% sure it was all over anyway.

Sera smiled, holding Staria's cheek.
"That's more then I ever thought I would have."

Two crew members walk in engaged in a conversation. I pull away from Sera to a normal distance and stand there alittle awkwardly. They grab something from their bunks then leave.

"Soo... you what do you want to do?"

"I...don't know..." she sighed. "This would be easier if I was the XO, bu I am not that lucky..." she shrugged.

"Well the XO told us to get ready. I think yall are about to hit the slavers"

"Great. Let's take a shower then. Yes you can look. But no staring." She rolled her eyes before rolling off the bed and landing gracefully. "Hands to yourself." She grinned, grabbing toiletries and walking.

I grin and walk with her to the bathroom, grabbing a towel.

"Could I use your soap?"

I set down my towel and begin to strip.

Sera nodded, following suit.
"Yeah. You can." Sera blushed, looking away and presenting her nearly naked back to Staria.

"Thanks Sera!"

I get completely stripped and walk over to a shower, turning it on and waiting for it heat up. When it finally does I step in and let out a sigh.

"I love a hot relaxing shower."

I turn to Sera.

"How about you?"

Sera kept her back to Staria.
"Yeah. I'm glad they gave us poor bastards hot water. Cold showers suck."

"Are you sure this thing even works?"

"It still has all it's limbs, more than can be said for all the others we found."

"Others?"

"Yeah, this was deployed with some Humans. From reports, none of them made it back."

"The Warmaster will be here soon, make sure it is working by then, Grunts."

Omega, shit hole of the galaxy, criminal controlled, and the current ruler had pissed off someone in the Turian military, so we were here to kill him.

I walk through the market district, in full uniform. Anyone who fucked with me, knew who I was, so I could kill them without any remorse.

The rest of my team were elsewhere on Omega, preparing for the hit themselves.

I nod and give Seria a worried glance.

"The Slavers won't be much of a challenge to you, will they? I don't want you and the others getting killed.."

"We'll be fine..." she sighed, turning off the water and wrapping her towel around herself. "We know how to take care of ourselves." She sighed to herself, drying off and reaching for her clothes.

I frown and nod and return to my shower.

"Well... Still, you guys know what your up against?"

"Batarian bastards who think they are God but are about to get a smackdown." She grinned. "We'll be done quickly." She promised, putting on her underwear anstarted to dry her hair.

I laugh and slip out, grabbing my towel and joining her in getting dressed.

"For a shy girl, you pretty cocky."

I grin and give her a nudge.

Sera blushed. "Sorry. Should I be more wimpy and clinfy isntead of cocky and more inedpendanf." She grinned back, with a nudge of her own.

I roll my eyes and get dressed.

"I sort of like both, though they don't seem to mix well together."

She got dressed as well. "I'm just shy...So...please stand me?"
She looked away, stepping out of the bathroom, throwing her hair from out of her collar.

I walk after her and get in step with her.

"I didn't say I hated it.. I said I enjoy it, its cute."

Sera again blushed. "Oh. Right...sorry." She smiled sheepishly. "So...back to the barracks? Stop at the mess? Where do you wanna go pass the time?"

I open my mouth to speak, but my stomach speaks for me with a grumble. I laugh and pat my belly.

"I guess my vote is for the mess!"

Sera giggles. "Ok." She led her not far away, where a decent- sized table open to a large open space was. She looked over to a kitchen area. "Andrea! What's cookin'?"
"My famous gumbo."
"Ok, what is cooking that is edible?"
"Cute. I got some pot roast actually. Done in ten minutes. You two are first in line."
Sera smiled softly. "Can you sirvive ten minutes, Staria?"

Still Tom sat in his cell, contemplating. "Hey, guard, what'd you guys do with my weapons? If there's a scratch on my Indra..." He exhaled sharply. "I shan't be too pleased."

I look at the two of them amused then nod my head.

"I think I'll live."

Sera smiled, taking a seat, as the cook continued to work on the pot roast.

I take a seat next to her and set there fiddling with my hands, not knowing what to talk about.

"Soo...."

Sera looked at her lap.
"After this I have to get ready..." she said. "Almost to the slaver's base."
Sera quickly took one of Staria's hands and pulled it under the table before anyone could see. "I promise I'll be back."
