MERP round 3 RP thread

I nod and smile, giving her hand a squeeze.

"I know you will. Won't want to leave me her all by my lonesome."

I grin.

Sera scooted a bit closer as Laura delivers plates of pot roast and some water.
"Eat up!" The cook said before leaving.

Sera squeezed back before letting Staria go. She dug into her food.

I smile and nod at the cook before chowing down on my food. I pause and get a drink of my water.

"Sera I... Nevermind."

Sera glanced at her.
"Go on. Now I am interested."

I shake my head a smile.

"It's nothing.."

"Pleaaase?" She begged. "Don't make me beg any more."

I frown and look at her.

"I.. umm.."

I smile.

"Sera I.. I think you're... pretty..."

It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't what I was originally going to say.

Sera blushed. "You're pretty, too." She responded.
Finishing her food, she took the dishes to Laura then came back and leaned down to Staria. "I need to go suit up...can you meet me in the bathroom in a few minutes?"

Me grins and laughs.

"Oh ho ho! Want a little luck before leaving?"

Sera blushed.
"Can't blame me." She said, disappeaeing to go change.

I laugh shaking my head and finish up eating. After a few minutes I return my tray and head to meet Sera.

I don't know how to tell her.. or even if I should..

Sera would be waiting in the bathroom, adjusting her armor. Her weapons were not all Alliance-made. A Turian Phaeston, an Asari Disciple, but the rest were Alliance-made. Sera woulsnt notice her at first, mostly absorbed with staring nervously into the mirror.

I slip into the bathroom and approach Sera from behind, I pull her in a hug from behind and grin over her shoulder into the mirror.

"Surprise."

Sera gave a small jump of surprise, then turned to face Staria. She then pulled the asari close and kissed her deeply. She held it for ten seconds before pulling away. "I love you Staria. I just needed a little...good luck." She blushed.

I grin, and wrap my arms around her.

"A little? Have some more."

I kiss her this time, then break away and give a whistle.

"You look pretty good in armor, its a good look for you!"

Sera looked away. "Thanks Staria." She pulled away. "Stay safe."
She was off.

I grab her arm as she leaves and spin her around into my arms for one last long kiss, then push her away and give her a pat on her rear.

"Go get them Sera.."

Sera grinned. "Will do."

She rode the elevator down to where the shuttle was. Ten marines waited with Barenziah. The LTC herself stood before them.
"Ops Chief! Front and center!"
Sera did as insrructed.
"Alright. N5 and N6. Almost to N7 like this adorable and endearing screwup." She said. Knowing full well Sera would blush. "We got slavers. We shoot them. We got slaves. We free them. Not ask them to our bunk, Corporal Rio!" A few chuckles. "Mount up. We deop in three."
The marines trooped on as the Aechangel swooped down to release the shuttles.

I stand there for awhile then walk down and take the elevator the the bay to see her off. I step out and stand to the side.

Sera looked back to check and make sure everyone was on. She spotted Staria.
Meeting the Asari's eye, she made a quick heart with her hands before the bay closed.

The Kodiak flew out and headed down to the planet...as a freighter came from behind the moon. As the Kodiak would flare out for a landing, fighters would start shooting the Ar hangel...but were no match for the GARDIENs.

The The Kodiak flared out for a landing. Barenziah set a guard on the shuttle before leading the marines towards the slave compound. It was pretty quiet. Pretty routine as they blasted into the base, gunning down a few stray slavers.
But then, as they entered an area every marine knew was a tactical nightmare...Batarians appeared. Everywhere. Gunfire rained down, the marines strafing and returning fire. Barenziah took a shot to the leg, but Sera was hit in the gut. The rest of the marines either were killed in theinitial attack or execured later.

As Barenziah startes to stabalize Sera, the leader of the slavers came up, shotgun held loosely.
"Where is you ship."
"Go fuck your shotgun."
The batarian pressed the shotgun against Sera's head. "I wwon't ask you again."
"...outside the gates."
"Get her up."
Barenziah gritted her teeth, helping Sera.

The marine guard were tKen by surprise. Only two marines and a pilot survived; and soon enough,eight heavily armed batarians were inside. Barenziah kept tending to Seraphim as the less-wounded marine started stabalizing his friend.
The Kodiak headed for the Archangel.
"Raider 6-5 to Archangel. Coming in. We have wounded. Ops Chief Connor is in critical condition. I repeat. Ops Chief Connor in critical. Need a full team waiting at the hanger bay."
"Roger thaT. Archangel acknowledges."

The intercom buzzed on, calling the ship to action. All medics to the hanger bay; a security detail as well.
The Kodiak drew closer as the CO headed for the hanger bay.

I group up with the medics, hoping to put my skills to use if needed.

I hope Sera's ok...

The CO already was there as the shuttle came in for a landing.
As the CO walked up to the opening door, he froze.
A gunshot.

The CO crumpled to the ground. Batarians stepped out.

Security men shouted "GET DOWN" and opened fire on the Batarians as, behind them, Barenziah and another marine covered the wounded with their own bodies as gunfire roared across the hanger bay.

My eyes go wide and I roll behind a large crate, whipping out my pistol.

"Shit, Sera!"

Batarians tried to get off, but soon they were lying in their own blood. Barenizah glanced over her shoulder. "I NEED A FUCKING MEDIC RIGHT NOW. SHE'S SHOT IN THE STOMACH. IT SHATTERED HER ARMOR. MEDIGEL APPLIED."

I holster my pistol and run into the shuttle.

"I got some medical experiance."

The woman was blocking my view of the wounded.

Barenziah moved away. "Get on Connor. She has a bad one. I used medigel. Please save her." Vex said, moving to help get the injured trooper onto a gurney. "We're afraid to move her."

"Sera!"

I rush forward and grab her hand, then remember I'm suppose to be helping her.

"Make sure she doesn't move to much."

I pull out some supplies I've grabbed outside and begin to treat her. I cleaned the wound, and pull out tweezers. I begin to remove the shrapnel of her armor stuck in her wound, it took me a bit but I did it. I clean the wound again, and apply a temporary bandage to the wound to slow bleeding.

"She... She should be movable now.. get her out of this armor and in the medic bay Stat."

Sera whimpered, managing to touch Staria's arm. "S-s-sorry." Was all she mNaged before passing out.

Barenziah lifted her onto a gurney. "MOVE!" She bellowed.

She then looked at the dead CO. "Fucking hell. At least I can tell Lieutenant McRolf he can fuck off and die."


The guard scowled. "We haven't scratched your shit. Ensign McNamara is actually doing maintnence on it all for you because she's such a nice person."

I walk out and past the others, I sigh and lean against the wall and slide down into a sit. I look down and see I got some blood on me, Sera's blood. I sigh again and close my eyes wanting to sleep.

Guess I'm not so lucky...

I blink my eyes open then jog over to elevator and head up. I walk to the med bay and find Sera laying on one of the beds. I move over to her, and pull up a chair. They had switched her out of armor and put on a proper bandage. She looked peaceful. I smile a gently twine my fingers around her and lay back in my chair, resting.

As Barenziah was inducted as temporary CO, she assessed th e damage. Six marines had died in the ambush. One took a shot to the side. Seraphim had the worst but would pull through. She, Vex...now had command.
"Requiem. Status?"
The VI piped up. "All set. We've skimmed the ground and taken out many slavers from the air. Marines report only a few slaves there; must be for show."
She sighed. "Who's XO."
McRofl. Of course.
"McRofl."
"Alfernate? That asshole can't even aim a pistol."
"Negative; rest are KIA or McNamara. She declined."
"Any alternatives?"
"Field-Promote Ops Chief Connor and place her as XO."
"Great. Connor then. N7 and all."
"As you wish...Captain."

In the medbay, Sera moaned and blinked awake. She found Staria close by.
"I guess me getting a lapdance for a job well done is out of the question?" She said weakly.

He nodded. "Thanks." He sat back down in his cell. Hopefully she wouldn't mess with his upgrades too much, but even if she did, there wasn't much he could do.

I look over at her and giggle at her words despite the situation.

"After what happened, I think you owe me a lapdance."

I grin.

"That would be a sight to see."

The head doctor walked out, leaving us alone in the room. I quickly lean over and plant a kiss on her lips, when I break away I give her a glare.

"Sera you had me worried to death! When I didn't see you I didn't know what to expect and.. and..."

I sigh and rest my head gently on her shoulder.

Sera leaned her head over to kiss Staria's head. "Im sorry Star...please don't be mad...I...I just didn't see it coming." She sniffed. "I was scared I wojlsnt get to see you again...but this is my life. I'm a marine..." she smiled. "As for that lapdance...I can't dance. But...I'll think of something...ok?"
Sera fell silent, looking at the cieling. "I love you. You're what I thought about as I was shot...thanks for saving me."

I look up smiling and kiss her again.

"I almost lost it when I saw you, almost forgot what to do."

I laugh and shake my head.

"I like the name too. Star, I would like to be your little Star."

Sera reach over to touch her cheek.
"Be my guiding star then." She said. "And...can you stay for awhile? Please?"

I kiss her hand and nod.

"Don't worry Sera, I'm not going anywhere."

I squeeze her hand reassuringly and smile.

Sera brought Star's hand to her cheek. "Thanks for saving me. I was afraid I wouldnt make it to you yelling at me."

I smile and move my hand up to run it through Sera's hair.

"I didn't do much, just cleaned the wound and slowed the bleeding. The rest was the doctor's work."

I pause, a small frown forming on my face.

"Sera.. the CO.. he was gunned down before we knew what was happening.."

Sera blinked. Despite her obvious enjoyment of the attention Star was givi g her, she looked sad.
"He deserved to go down fighilting. Not executed like such." Was all she said. "Please keep running your hand through my hair? It feels jice." She added as a request.

I laugh and do as she asks. I sit there and watch her with a sad smile on my face.

Sera visibly relaxed, and she semed a bit down. She remained still.

From the doorway, Barenziah coughed. "Sorry to break up your moment. Yes I have been here for a bit. No I honestly don't give a fuck as long as you do me a favor and not make it public. Now." She waloed over.
"Because the Captain is dead I am CO. And because McNamara declined and because McRolf has about as much respect as a batarian prostitute on Earth..." she sighed. "You are field-promoted to First Lieutenant, one above our idiot Second El-T McRofl. I mean McRolf." She let Sera have a small smile. "So ge btter soon. You get paperwork and a better room."

Barenziah turned heel and walked off

I jump a bit and blush but relax and squeeze Sera's hand as she talks. When its all over I look at her a give her a quick kiss.

"Congrats babe, it may not be a good way to get promoted byt its well earned. "

Sera blushed, remaining silent. Then she returned the quick kiss. "Thanks Star..." she tried to tug the asari closer. "Now would you give me a real congratz kiss?"

I grin and push my self forward.

"That sounds good to me.."

I move my hand from her hair to her check as I pull her into a long kiss.

Sera began to return the kiss, enjoying every second of it.

When they finally broke apart, Sera blushed. "H-you c-can sh-share my-my n-new room." She stuttered, obviously more shy about that then a kiss.

I grin and lay my head on her shoulder.

"Me and you cuddle buddies? That would be nice... if you're completely okay with this? "

"I am." She managed, reaching up to rest a hand on Star's cheek. "Just...no funny buisness."

I laugh and grin mischievous.

"Me? Funny business? Why, whatevrr fo you mean?"

"I mean when you stuck your hand into my pants on Omega." She retorted. "Alright? I'm not ready for more...so please respect that." She smiled softly. "In return...you get a bigger bed. And me."

I roll my eyes.

"Ok, ok. Don't worry, I already said I wouldnt do that again! "
