I Jump into the first thing I see... The Warthog passenger seat.

"Welcome aboard fuck face!"

I punch it in the face, only to have it punch me back.

I felt a burst of rounds striking the side of my ghost.

"Spray their cart!"

Spinning my Ghost and unloaded into the vehicles windshield.

"Bartley, turn and present the driver side to me or I'll shoot you too!" he ordered, taking aim.
"Lyra, it the other ghost!" He said. "Shan, get ready to flank their driver if he jumps free!"

"Enrir! try to flip their hog!"

I held fire until Enrir left the Hog.

I started to spin up the 'Hogs turret, firing at one of the ghosts. This was going...

Better than expected.

"I'm trying to, oww!"

I The elite kicks me in the face and I start to fail out, I grab its leg and yank it out with me.

"Dammit bartley!" Jeremy yelled...then fire at the thing's head, not caring if he hit Bartley. He then exchanged his sniper rifle for his assault rifle and stood.
"This is Hunter, I'm relocating to a different position. Lyra, you should too. Shan, I'm going to move across and set up shop ten meters in front of you. Watch my back."

Jeremy shouldered his rifle and activated Promethean Vision.

"Yes sire!"

I rammed the warthog in the side, ripping the wheel out of place.

I take aim at the second ghost, aiming again for the fuel line.

I squeeze the trigger again, sending another round at my new target.

With no driver, I decided the Hog was probably going to topple over, so I did the most logical thing, and jumped out, just as it hit a rock, causing it to attempt a barrel roll. The fact the ghost rammed it probably didn't help with the rock situation...

"OK fucker, its on lik- SHIT!!!"

A sniper bullet rips through my liver.

I already killed them anyways

"Damnit!!! I Hate all of you bastards!"

I stand up only to have the elite throw me into a rock, and pull out a energy sword.

"SHIT!"

I run up and tackle it to the ground, knocking the sword out of its hands, and begin to pummel it.

I hit the ground, and rolled a bit, terrible landing, my fault. I got back up, and pulled out my AR, making a dash for the nearest bit of cover.

The Ghost was hit in the propulsion system and malfunctioned, causing it to boost with the speed of a tempest. and crashed into a building.

"My Ghost was hit by that blasted sniper!"

I raised myself from the Ghost's wreckage and equipped my Storm Rifle. And began running to the sniper's(Lyra) position whilst engaging Camo.

"Veer, where is their sniper(Lyra)?"

I crept around the sniper's area.

Ben treaded behind Hunter, following her keeping a five meter spread.

Me and the Elite wrestled on the ground before it kicked me off. I flew about 7 feet backwards before landing. I look up to see the Elite charging me with its sword again.

"Man I'm still to hungover for this shit."

I pull out my Shot gun and fire a round at it while retreating.

The spray of pelts hits my shields, taking them down alot. I jump back to avoid another shot that would've caused my death. I retreat into some caves and active my Active Cameo while my shields recharge.

"Remove him already!"

I changing route, and began running towards Enrir's position.

Plasma shots hit my shields.

"Look who's tardy to the party."

I jump down in a ditch and take cover, while pulling out my Sticky and reloading it. I follow the direction of the plasma shots and see their leader moving to a new position.

Damn , he's out of range.

"Lyra, Elite far back, running. You got an angle on him?"

Jeremy slides into a crouch, taking aim and firing a full clip into Enrir's back with his assault rifle. Without waiting for confirmation, Jeremy is up and running, jumping up onto a rock and taking aim at where Bartley had specified.
"Lyra, I can at least down his shiels!" He said, taking the shot. Two cracks, one at his torso and another at his head, emanated before Jeremy threw himself back and out of his extremely exposed position.

I watch the chaos from my position. There still wasn't a good enough opportunity to get a good flank on the Elites yet. They were too spread out and too far back. I hit the comm to my squad.

Guys. Bait them back a little more. I can then come and hit them from behind.

Too close.
Jeremy snapped his assault rifle up, using tight, controlled bursts at Zuka's chest. His sniper rifle hsd two sots; he'd kick it up and fire the two high-speed bullets into his chest the moment his shields were down.

Click.
Drop.
Kick.
Catch.
The bastard was going in a straight line.
No-scoping the bastard, Jeremy let loose both shots, released the clip, and went for his Magnum, if the Elite didn't drop.

"Alittle busy shan, I'll work on it."

I see the elite closing in on Jerry and fire a sticky grenade at him, detonating at its feet.

Jeremy popped his magnum out and let loose half the clip before the explosion caused his sniper rifle to skid away. Cursing, Jeremy kicked the AR up and ran, picking up the rifle and sliding into a ditch beside Bartley.
"Drunk fucker. You actually might be a Spartan." Jeremy said.

I let out a loud laugh.

"Thats two drinks you owe me. One for shooting me, the other for saving you ass."

I reload my last sticky.

"Now lets move, Shan's getting bored back there."

Ben didn't like asking questions on a mission, but we were going in pretty blind.
"What exactly is it we're looking for ma'am?"

“Shipmaster! We’ve hit by plasma torpedoes!”
The large CCS-class Assault Carrier Zealous Epistle shook violently as it’s shields were suddenly struck from behind by massive blasts of plasma weaponry. The attacks were followed close by bombarding waves, and soon the ships shields were down and all bets were off.
“Shipmaster, orders?!”

Rha’ Taydum stood at the podium of the ships control room, his eyes darting to every screen as visions popped up of ships all around them. Three battlecruisers, one on each side and one behind them, and numerous destroyers backing them up. This would not be an easy fight, with shields. Without shields, this would be a painful loss. He could feel the ships plating failing as the shields continue to try and get brought back up. There was no way he’d be able to take out every single one of these ships.
“Evasive maneuvers! Do whatever you can to avoid their attacks!”
As his command was broadcast across the ship, he could see on the screens his fighters speeding out of the docks, to give their lives for the good of the ship.

The plasma turrets of the Zealous Epistle continued to fire, blasting the nearest ships with everything they had, while the pulse turrets continued to charge. If they all unloaded equally on the enemy, it would give Rha’ ample time, but only if the ship held out long enough.
The Exoatmospheric fighters were doing everything they could to divert fire, but it wasn’t enough once the enemy deployed it’s own. In a once empty space, there was now combat, and it was endless.
And then with a sudden high pitched ringing, the pulse lasers fired. In every direction they rang out, burning through the enemies shields and piercing the armour of the Destroyers. It was no where near enough to cripple the enemy, but it was able to daze them, which was more than enough.

“All active Exoatmospheric fighters, return to the ship!” His command was uttered with haste, and it didn’t take long for the remaining ships to turn tail and head back inside. Quickly he begin to close the blast doors to the ships docking bays, and gave out his next command, his blood pumping. “All operators, get us into the void! We need to move before the heretics can ready themselves!”
As the turrets went offline, and the shields attempted to flicker back into existence, Rha’ felt something dreadful crawl over his body. Looking back up at the screens, his eyes drew wide as he saw above them, towering and menacing, a CAS-class Assault Carrier. There would be no escape if that hit them.
“Now!”

As the qualities of special physics were finely cut open before them, the energy projector of the Assault Carrier begin to charge up. Rha’ drastically begin to send orders to every single personnel onboard, in hopes of escaping it’s blast. The ship began to lurch forward, and soon it was being pulled into the void, and Rha’ felt satisfaction pour over him.
But it was short lived.
With a devastating and explosive blast overhead, the beam shot down and completely ignored the shield of the Zealous Epistle, burning through the stern of the ship before tearing through it, dealing incomparable damage to the weak ship. Rha’ could see numerous red warnings appearing before him on the screens, and there was only one thing he could do.
With a few quick jabs, the ship began to lock down entirely, the blast doors to every room, hall, and hangar closing and sealing down entirely. It wouldn’t do much, but if they were lucky, it would at least help in what was about to come.

The ship was pulled in by the void before it, and through the whistling black space it was sucked through. Thankfully, the ships behind them had no time to follow, and it closed behind them before the escape was considered futile. But the damage was done, and the ship was failing fast. The aft of the ship was being torn apart by the speed, and there was nothing he could do to stop it. Rha’ was thankful, at least, that the blast would have killed any of the inhabitants of the exposed areas.
Rha’ quickly headed down into the maintenance controls, past numerous injured Sangheili and working Unggoy who were trying to get medical aid to the docking bays.
Rha’ stormed through the doors as each one slowly unsealed before him, and stood over the shoulders of his operational party. “How did we fare in the firefight?” The feverish muttering told him all he needed to know. Once the ship exited slipspace, it wasn’t going to be able to make it to a repair location in time. The engines had overheated and were barely functioning, and the ships overall integrity was failing fast. The only thing holding it together was it’s barely active shields, and due to the instability of the engines those would fail soon too. Rha’ let out a weathered sigh, and turned for the door.
“We’ll need to dispose of the damaged sections of the ship.” Without another word, he left the room, his voice wavering as he began to travel to the docking sections, past the bustling Unggoy and Kig-Yar that were carrying mechanical and medical aids. Grabbing a single Unggoy Major as it tried to run past, he barked worryingly. “How many of our soldiers were injured out there?” The small creature thought for a moment, before speaking in a raspy voice, trying to maintain his understanding of the humans language. “Most.”

As the armour clad Sangheili entered the upper levels of the docking bays, all he could see throughout the entire bay, from all sides, were broken aircraft and their injured and bloodied pilots. So much damage, and there was no way it could be undone in the next few hours that would be their travel. All he could do for them is hope they would be numb enough when the ship met it’s inevitable fate…

I am suddenly awake and realize my body is heating up. Looking out through the glass I can see that the room still looks how it did when I went to sleep. I move my arms and legs with them being still for so long it felt good. I reached up and grabbed the leveler pulling down on it. Causing the hatch to swing open. Stepping out of cryo I stretch my arms and legs some more and look around.

I cough a couple times and open my eyes. My body is warming up. The glass starts losing it's ice, letting the room show.
I reach up and pull the lever, letting me out. Same as the ice did the room. Sorta... I step out into the room.
My arms and legs hurt from being in the same position for too long. So I stretch. In doing so, I see Wrex.

"Heyo Wrex! Long time no see! Technically."

Nodding, "hey little bro." I walked into the next room to a locker and grabbed a pair of clothes that fit me. Putting them on and waiting on felix.

I walk over to where Wrex had gone and over to one of the lockers. Where I get clothes that should fit me and put them on.

"Where is everybody?"

I shrug to my brother and finish changing. I then sit down and wait for him to be done. Unsure where to go next.

I finish putting my new clothes on and throw the old into the locker.

"Maybe the bridge?"

"lead the way." I say to my brother as I stand up.

I leave the room and the cyro chambers in search for the bridge.

"Gah. My legs hurt."
