Halo 4 RP Part 1

(Marty)

"Well, that's one odd turn of events."

I cut the conversation.

"So, Sykes got into a fight with one of the Elites, and we have a new guy too. Didn't catch his name. So, I don't think we'll be able to get some people for War Games."

"I did what I felt was necessary, sir. But it will not happen again." he responded.
Damn Spartan IVs. Think they are Spartans. They don't know how to be a Spartan. They will learn over time, but it was easier for us. Hah. Easier.

Behind his helmet, Jeremy allowed himself a smile.

Samson: Dismissed.

I turn and walk out of the Bridge before confronting the new spartan.

"Next time, stay the fuck out. I will not have some Space-lizard threaten me or any of the men and women on this ship. Understand?"

(Harbinger)

"Captain, may I make a suggestion?"

Samson: What is it, Harbinger?

Jeremy did the courtesy of removing his helmet.
"Next time, don't get into it. I will not have people saying they are Spartans and acting like some hotblooded ODST. I don't give a fuck if he insulted your mother. Unless she was murdered by them, you keep your cool." He frowned. "If you say you are a Spartan, you will act like it. Do not insult the memory of the lost if you cannot uphold their honor."

"My mother was murdered by those genocidal fuckers. Everyone on this ship
lost someone to them."

I clench my fist.

"I forget, most of the old spartans were barely human."

"I lost my father. I lost my mother. I lost my elder sister. I almost lost my twin. Don't you dare say we are barely human. You think, all because us older Spartans were trained in less ethical ways, that we have no hearts?" Jeremy scowled. "You know nothing. Don't you dare say we have no emotions, no feelings. You know nothing."

Jeremy brushed past her.

Fucking new Spartans.

"If we have no hearts, then why does it hurt to be apart from the twin sister I have served with since we began in the Spartan Three program?"

We'd best get on down to the Hanger then and meet up with them

(Harbinger)

"What if we were to pit our Sangheili allies onboard against some of our Spartans in War Games? By doing so, perhaps we could somehow, or well, at least get them ready to how each other fights. Help them prepare, so to speak."

It suddenly dawned on me what exactly I had just said.

Oh shit.

"Fuck. Wait!"

I take a deep breath.

"Look, I didn't mean that. Hell, one of my team members is a III, I couldn't mean something like that."

Samson: Not a bad idea, Harbinger. Have the deck prepared for them.

Jeremy stopped.

Everyone deserves a shot at forgiveness.

"If you didn't mean it, then why did you say it?" He sighed, turning back around. But he now was more interested...in the III. "Who's the III onboard?" He asked evenly, not really calmed down but at least in control enough to be courteous.

(Harbinger)

"As you wish, Captain."

//Ship speakers Activated//

"All Spartans Report to the War Games Deck, this also applies to our Sangheili guests. You have 10 Minutes before the session begins."

(Marty)

I heard the announcement from Harbinger.

"Change of plans, I guess?"

Well. This is interesting. Come on.

We turn back around and carry on to the War Games Deck.

"I said it because I'm pissed off that you stopped me from showing that Elite how to fight."

I take a breath.

"Shannon Pilling. I'd show you her record, but that fight broke my data pad. I remember her being from Gamma Company though."

I pause as I listen to the announcement.

"You can probably meet her on the War Games deck."

I set off towards the War Games deck, eager to fire off a few rounds from my sniper rifle.

If Lyra noticed, she'd see some red had creeped into Jeremy's cheeks. He followed behind her, replacing his helmet.
"I was part of Gamma Company." He said.

Jeremy was also eager to fire...from any weapon he felt he was going to use.

"Aww yeah!!"

I start making my way to the War Games Deck.

(Marty)

"So, Shannon... Wait, doesn't matter, ignore me."

I had that habbit of starting a sentence, and never really finishing it. It was normal to me, thinking back on a question.

Finish it.

We were almost there now.

"I suppose you know her then?"

"You could say that." Jeremy said.

Please God, let my last will and testament be still intact if she gets mad at me. And, on that note, please have her be happy to see me and not angry!

"Well. To put it plainly. What's it like to be a III?" I'd always wondered. You'd hear about the Chief and his 'adventures', but you hardly heard of many Spartan III stories. Or well, not as many.

I arrived at the War Games Hall only to notice I'm the first one..

"Well this awkward.."

I just stand there and wait for the other to arrive.

I don't understand your question.

We enter the War Games deck.

Me and Jeremy enter the War Games deck, where I see my team waiting.

Jeremy, for some reason, slides behind Lyra. The look in his eyes shows...he's nervous.
Very nervous.

"Saddle up pony girl, whats the plan?"

I ask Lyra as she enters followed by the new Spartan.

We walked together in a single-file disciplinary line, all marching to finish the dispute between species.

"Any words of inspiration Veer?"

I asked with a sense of needed dialogue.

=Zuka and his squad were on their way to the War Games deck as ordered. As they walked, their heavy metal footsteps rang down the hall. The Humans, marines and ODSTs alike, stood out of their way and dared not speak a word to them. Loex Svih- Malice Team as the Humans called them- had a reputation for being particularly brutal, and having a very short temper. The temper part was only true of Zuka, but the team as a whole had been known for their more than a little messy deeds on the field of battle, and for being especially savage against Human enemies. While the team was fully aware of how stretched some of the rumors were, they never let the Humans know that they were. They preferred to keep the joke to themselves. One of the squad favorites was a story that Korr had been seen by an ODST running up to a Human Insurrectionist, crushing his ribs, and ripping both his arms off. In truth, Korr had ran up to the Human and crushed his skull with the butt of his rifle, but the story was nonetheless entertaining. They made it down to the War Games deck in silence, and waited outside=

"The plan is that we kick these space-monkeys arses and show them how the UNSC fight."

I open up a holographic image of the battlefield.

"We need to stay together, out gun them. So we need to get to this-" I highlight a Warthog near the east of the map. "-'hog. I'll be here-" I highlight an elevated building "-with my sniper.

I take a breath.

"Marty, Shan, Bartely, I want you three in the 'hog. Jeremy, your file says you're a sniper, you'll be with me."

Throwing three people into one 'Hog isn't exactly a great plan. Besides. With the Elites outnumbering us, we need a smaller map where we can multi-frag them.

"Sadly, we can't pick the map. Harbinger picked it for us. If we can get the passenger of the Warthog one of the heavy weapons, they can cause a lot of damage to the Elites."

I think for a few seconds.

"Try to keep them in this area, me and Hunter can keep you covered from any heavy weapons they get hold of."

"Alright." He said.

He stayed close to Lyra, more out of...safety.

Guess...it hasn't clicked yet...yay reprieve...

The Pelican flared out for a landing at the camp. As it settled down, Alexis stood.
"Alright. We wait here until we are given a place to start."

This is still a terrible plan. Throwing three of us into one hog just gives them an easy triple if they get a good ordinance, especially on Exile.

"I'm going to have to agree with her, Sykes. Two in a 'Hog, max. We can't let them get an easy triple."

He shrugged.

As Ben sat there, the Pelican's pilot spoke.
"About a minute 'til we touch ground Spartans!"

=I then get my assault rifle out and rack a round into the chamber=

Good...at least we're getting some action...

=I then place my assault rifle on safety, making sure nothing happened inside the Pelican=

Alexis sighs.
"Hey, we're just sitting tight until we get the coords. So check the perimeter and relax."

=I hop of the Pelican and bring up my HMG=

Copy that, ma'am.

=I give a nod and take the HMG off safe=

"Fine words from a fine commander."

I chuckled in self-serviced humor, attempting to bring about brightness in our dark silence.

"What field are we fighting on?"

"Doesn't hurt to be prepared, ma'am."
Ben jogged down the ramp and dropped to a knee and started scanning the immediate area.

"I'll take wheel, Marty can take the turret. And Shan can cut around and flank them from behind. Me and Marty can take the full force of them, while you and the new guy take out anyone who gets to cocky. Then Shan can come in from the behind and take out the stragglers or any snipers."

I throw the Idea out to Lyra.

"Hmm."

I continue thinking.

"We should keep them coming to us, it's much easier to defend a base than it is to take one. I'll stay back, and snipe them when I can, Marty, Bartley, cover this side with the 'hog. But don't get closer than you have to. Keep them missing.


"Shan, do you think you can cover the other side?"

Ben realized he was kneeling in sand, he then looked around.
Great, a desert.
"LZ clear!"
There were obvious Forunner structures around us, as well as off in the distance.

"Alright Sovereign, dig in. We'll wait for the eggheads to tell us which damn structure we need to secure for Argo."

Jeremy leaned forward and studied the map. "What equipment do we have on hand? 'cause I tend to stick to using the Promethean Vision, for the most part."
