A "Rise" Story- The Start of Something New.

I put my helmet on. At first it was pitch place but soon all sorts of light started to turn on. I was amazed by it, a virtual hub that monitored everything. I was liking this. I turned to the other Spartan.

Hey Russian lets go. I don't have time to waste.

I walk by him toward the Hangar.

I looked at Rubble, "You have no idea."

"Hawk, we are getting off at this location," A small map popped up on his HUD with a red dot showing our drop off point. "Sparrow will drop us off, and then drop off Delta Squad at this location," A Green marker showed up on his HUD,
"She will then land near Oversight with discretion, where she lands is up to her." A Yellow circle circled Oversight.

=Minutes pass as I arrive into the hanger=
=As I walk I begin to think=

It seems as though everyone is jittery. Interesting

I raise the pelican a bit higher, almost to the roof and get my hands ready. I cut the thrusters and quickly fire them back up again. The pelican drops and just about manages to avoid hitting the floor hard again.

Good. Engines are very good. Armour is a bit iffy, but i doubt we'll even get hit.

I laugh a little and touch it down. I walk to the back of the pelican and lean on the side just before the ramp.

I shook my head, "Are you fine with us getting on board now?"

I hand the Trauma Kit to Sparrow and get on board.

With all due respect ma'am, I get doubtful when you land a several dozen ton chunck of Titanium and I nearly get killed. That's all, ma'am.

I enter the hanger followed by the Russian. Really don't feel like knowing his name. I look around to see where our squad leader was. It took me some time to find him but eventually I did and walked up to him.

We are here squad leader, awaiting instructions.

I walk back up to the cockpit and place the trauma kit next to my seat. No doubt i was in a higher chance of needing it than they were. I then head back down to the back just in time to see Trident and Whisper entering the hanger. I wave them on-board.

Just like training.

=I motion towards the Pelican in which the others were boarding=

We will be escorting and protecting a V.I.P.

=I head off to the Pelican=

"Alright, I've updated everyones maps signifying the drop zones." I turned to Sparrow, "Try not to make the ride too bumpy." I said as humorously as I could.

I turn to him

We're going in atmosphere. It's going to be bumpy. Deal with it.

I find a weapons bay nearby, the Russian followed me and started to examine some weapons. I didn't care enough to see what he brought. Me on the other hand picked up something I was familiar with. The Sniper Rifle System 99 Anti-Matériel felt familiar in my hand as I cocked it.

Ammo.

The guy at the desk handed me some ammo boxes, I put them in my utility case. I also picked up the standard DMR for my side..just in case. I headed to the pelican where I was told to go and got in.

I'm flying kid. You won't be intact and thats a guarantee

I make the smile gesture and head back upto the cockpit. I sit down as the last one gets on board and start it up.

This is Pelican Dropship 2479 requesting clearance to leave.

As i'm waiting for the confirmation, i close up the ramp and lock it.

I looked at Rubble, "Can it, Rubble." I would have smirked, or smiled at what Sparrow said, but I don't smile, or smirk. "Hawk, Can it, you'll be fine."

I muttered while on the pelican.

When are we leaving this place.

I switch off the comms and change over to an open intercomm on the pelican.

We eventually get past the shaking and i lower the back ramp down. A wide ocean spreads out before me.

Pretty smooth ride all round. Please feel free to remove your seatbelts and walk around the cabin. Mind the gap.

I begin skimming the surface of the ocean towards the landmass on the horizon.

I stand up, "Echo Squad, prepare for drop."

I heard the banging and wondered if this pilot was good or not. Since I has left the meeting to soon I didn't know what were doing. I started to go over the files in my helmet. It was pretty useful, I started to look at the map of the area searching for nice nests.

We begin to hit the land and i raise the Pelican slightly so we dont hit any trees. As we're approaching the drop zone, i slow down.

Echo Squad. Lock Armour. Jump on my mark.

I hold out my hand with my fist closed.

I turn around, watching Sparrow, I stand with my back to the opening. "On me!" I shouted.
