The Journey Series.

-This portion is focused on Dante. He had just broke atmosphere and is heading for the co-ordinates that were found in the video that Andrea had recorded-

(After some time of flying they enter slipspace)
(Music surrounding him)
(His thoughts being pushed out)

(Netherrealm)

*I will stop off at the nearest planet for supplies and fuel*

(She laughs)

(He shrugs)

(He sighs)

This is just like when I had left the UNSC.

(Hope appears in the passenger seat)

(He nods to her)

Dante-Hope.

Hope-Dante.

Dante-How goes things. Inside my head.

Hope-I have been on constant scan. I have seen no abnormalities.

(He nods)

Dante-Thats good

Hope-It is.

Dante-Anything else?

(She shakes her head)

Hope-Nothing.

Dante-Okay. Thank you.

Hope-Yes

(He sighs)

Dante-You think there will be another battle

Hope-I know there will be

(He sighs)

Dante-Thought you would say that

(She laughs)

Hope-Well yes.

(He looks out the front and sighs)

Dante-Oh well

(He closes his eyes and begins to sleep)
(Hope sits there)
(Watching him)

(She sighs and fades)

(Netherrealm)

(He scowls)

(He stands up)
(Wobbling)
(He goes to train with the dark figures)

(Hours pass)

*Dante*

(His eyes slowly open)

Yeah?

*We have exited*

*Um...Here is the bad part*

(He looks out the window to see a covenant fleet)

Aww. Frick.

We cant do anything in this piece of crap.

(The systems go offline)

(He sighs)

(They slowly begin to pass the fleet)

Good so far.

(The fleet had passed)
(He lets out a sigh of relief)

(The systems return and he fires off)

*Hmm. Let me scan ahead*

*Alright setting course for the nearest planet*

(The Pelican presses on heading to the planet)

(Some time passes as they reach the planet)
(It is mostly desert)
(They find a bay and proceed into it)
(He walks out of the Pelican and looks around)

(He refuels the Pelican and heads off to a shop)
(As he is walking someone bumps into him)

(The person runs off)
(He tilts his head)

(He looks down to see that his Hydra was missing)

(He runs after the person)
(He stops as a crowd gathers)
(He searches for the person, but everyone is dressed the same)

(He makes out a figure running)
(He breaks through the crowd)

People can get money off of that

(He sighs)

(He nears the person and loses them again)
(He looks around into an alley)
(He sees the person)

Found you

(He rushes past the crowd into the alley)
(Being more cautious)

This is their turf. I must play it safe

(He activates the shielding and secondary shielding)

(A trash can rolls out)
(He takes out the HC and aims)

(He continues on)
(He passes the alley into an open area)
(A building sits on the other side)

(He begins scanning)

Could have gone in there

(He hears a shot go off from an S2)
(He ducks behind a wall)

Great/ Ill I wanted was some supplies

(He steps out and puts up his hands)

I dont want any trouble!
I just want my weapon!

(Another shot rings out)
(Slightly missing him)

(He yells out again)

If you want to kill me!
Then kill me!
Stop trying!

(He hears this)
(A female voice)

F-Get out of here UNSC!

(A shot rings out once more)

You are not even getting close to me!
That last one hit the trash can!

F-Get out of here!

What are you. Anti-UNSC?

F-No shit!

You don't have to worry!

F-Why the hell not!

I am not UNSC any longer!

F-I dont care!

Look. (A shot grazes his helmet)
You actually got me there.

(He walks forward scanning the two-story building)
(Looking for a person in the windows)

F-So you can what!

(She sees him step forward and fires)

I want some supplies then I will leave!

(He sees some rustling on the second floor)

F-You want to kill us!

No. I dont.

F-Do not take a step closer!

Why. So you can shoot the trash can again

(She throws out a grenade)

Well that could be a reason

(He dives behind some garbage)

Yeah. This will help guard me from the shots

(The grenade goes off)

(He looks up)

Please! Just give me back the Hydra!

(She looks out and aims the S2 at his head)
(She takes a deep breath)

(He sighs and activates the cloak)

(She looks around)

Crap.

(He runs up to the building)

(She runs down the stairs and grabs the Hydra from the table)

F-You come in here and I blast you in the chest!

(She points it at the door)

Come on. You dont need to do this.

F-You dont know!

Explain to me.

F-Why should I!

F-You dont even know me!

(She lowers the weapon)
(She pauses)

F-Fine.

Open the door.

(She sighs and goes to the door)
(She opens it and He uncloaks)

(He steps in front of the door)
(Looking her over)

(She is in a hooded jacket)
(Ripped jeans)
(She is a person at a height of about five feet and eleven inches)
(She has jet-black hair with white streaks)
(She is about the age of eighteen)

Dante-Okay. Can I come in?

(She sighs)

F-Fine

(She motions for the living room)

(He walks in looking around)

(The building is somewhat clean on the inside)
(The outside looks as if it is overrun)

(He looks around for any other people)
(He takes a seat on the couch)

(She takes a seat in a chair across from him)

(He takes off his helmet and looks at her)

Dante-What is your name.

(She looks away from him)

(He sighs)

Dante-My name is Dante.

(She continues to look away)

Sarah-Sarah

Dante-That is a nice name. Now. can you tell me why you shot at me.

(She looks at him then away again)

Dante-Please?

Sarah-I thought you were UNSC.

Dante-Even after I told you I am not?

Sarah-Trust is low. For all I knew you wanted to come here and rob me.

Dante-All I wanted was the shotgun that you stole.

Sarah(she pauses)-I thought I could get some money off of it.

Dante-Why. You seem to be doing well.

Sarah-For all you see. You dont know.

Dante-Explain then

(She sighs)

Sarah-My family was killed by the UNSC.

(He sits there and nods)

Sarah-For suspected of being traitors.

Dante-How old were you. When your family died

Sarah-I was ten.

Dante-I am sorry.

Sarah-It is fine.

Dante-And you are what now?

Sarah-I am eighteen.

(He nods)

Dante-Eight years. Have you lived here?

Sarah-I have no other place to go.

(He looks into her brown eyes)

Dante-I understand

(She looks away again)

Sarah-How can you know. Anything.

Dante-My family. Was also killed by the UNSC.

(She looks back at him shocked)

Sarah-And you joined them?

(He nods)

Dante-It is a strange thing.

(She shakes her head)

Sarah-I understand. Somewhat.

Dante-You live here. Alone?

Sarah-My twin brother. He is out though.

Dante-I assume he would kill me?

Sarah-He would try.

Dante-Okay. What time is it? here?

Sarah-It is about (she looks at the clock) 7:43 P.M. here on this planet.

Dante-Where am I currently.

(She sighs looking around)

Sarah-You were in the once great city of Freemont

Dante-Once great

Sarah(nods)-Yes, this place. (shakes her head) Was a basic Utopia. My father was the leader here.

Dante-What happened

Sarah-When my father was killed. The city slowly turned on itself. Gangs were formed, Drug usage skyrocketed. The crime rate rose. (Shakes her head again)

Dante-What about other leaders?

Sarah-Corrupt. Could not live up to my father's standards. The police force even dropped. Eight years of nothing being done.

Dante-What about the UNSC you said they stopped here frequently.

Sarah-To get drunk. This city is not what it used to be. My brother is not what he used to be.

Dante-What happened

Sarah-He started using drugs. Our money is depleting. I had to steal from you. To get money. I am sorry.

(She begins to break down)

Dante(consoling)-Hey. It is alright.

Sarah-He should be back any minute. He normally brings his 'friends'

Dante-If you want. I can stay. Even though I need to leave.

Sarah-Why.

Dante-I want to stay to help. I need to leave to find.

(He pulls out a picture of Ash)

Her. Have you seen her.

(She shakes her head)

Sarah-I am sorry.

(He nods)

Dante-Okay. (sighs) Do you want me to stay? Will they hurt you?

Sarah(nods)-I...I dont want to keep you from your friend.

Dante-It is okay. (pauses) She is more than that. (shakes head) I will stay here. Break anything up. If anything happens.

Sarah-Please do not kill him.

Dante-I wont.

(The door opens)
(A male's voice is heard)

M-Alright boys. I got the good stuff!

(cheering)

(The person comes through the door)
(He sees Dante)

M-Hey. (shakes head) Sarah. You let this UNSC piece of shit in here?

Sarah-Aaron. Please.

Aaron-Answer my question.

(he looks 'Aaron' over)
(A lanky man with a jacket and dirtied pants)
(Black hair like his sister's)
(The man stands at about six feet)

Sarah-Yes. I did. And he is not UNSC. He is rogue.

Aaron(scowls)-Like I care. Why dont you come out so we can have a talk.

Dante(nods)-Yeah. Let's

(Sarah grabs his arm)
(Looking at him. Her eyes saying 'Dont kill him')

(He heads out the door)
(A group of men. All fairly skinny and the looks of them weak)

This wont be good for them

(Aaron had joined the group)

Aaron-What makes you think that you can walk into my house.

Dante-Your sister invited me in.

(Laughs)

Aaron(yells to the house)-Sarah! You kind on him already?

Dante-Aaron. This is between you and me.

(Aaron snaps his fingers)

Aaron-And my friends

(The group of about thirteen spread out)
(Taking random hidden weapons)

Aaron-Your in Freemont. My district.

Dante-You dont need to do this.

(He activates the shielding)

Aaron-Why not?

(He runs up to him)

Dante-Your facing a Spartan.

(The men begin to attack)

(He activates cloak)

(The men stop and look around)

M-Where did he go?

M2-I dont now

Aaron-Find him.

(He uppercuts one man, grabbing his leg and sending him into a garbage pile)
(He runs up to another, taking the pipe th man had and smashing his face with it)

Aaron-Son of a. Get him!

(He kicks one in the chest, sending him down)

(His cloaking times out)
(He smirks as the remaining men surround him)

(Eleven in total counting Aaron)

I am not going to harm you

(One man rushes him with a crowbar)
(He kicks him and grabs the crobar mid-air)
(He chucks it at another man's head. The curved part hitting its mark. Sending him down)

(Netherrealm)

Oh man!
This is good!
I need some more popcorn.

(He waits for another one)
(His wish is granted but by two)

(He kicks one in the gut and follows the kick made to that one into a roundhouse for the other)
(They both fall)

(Another rushes going for a punch)
(He grabs the fist and delivers his own punch)
(Still holding the fist he knees the man in the face)
(The man falls)

(Three rush him this time)
(One with a baseball bat and two with pipes)

I am in the mood for baseball

(As the man with the bat attacks he roundhouse kicks his chest)
(The bat falls)
(He grabs it and smacks the other two in the head)
(Loud cracks)

Did I hit a Homerun? Nope just two idiots

(Netherrealm)

Good Lord.

(Laughter)

(The last of Aaron's 'friends' run off)

(Aaron stands facing Dante)

Aaron-I am not going to run away like them.

Dante-I am not going to hurt you. I promised Sarah.

Aaron(laughs)-Right.

Dante-Just come with me.

(Aaron pulls out a modified shotgun)

Aaron-Or we fight here. UNSC Scumbag.

(He looks back to the house)
(Sarah staring out the window)

(He sighs)

(He stands his ground)
(Bringing out the arm-blade)

Dante-Aaron. I do not want to do this.

Aaron-I want to though

(Aaron Aims the shotgun at Dante)

(He sighs and activates the cloak)
(He runs around and behind Aaron)
(He kicks the backs of his legs)

(The gun drops)

Aaron-Please. Dont hurt me.

Dante-Come on.

(He leads Aaron into the house. Grabbing the shotgun)

(Sarah is at the door)

(The men on the ground still writhing in pain)

(They enter and go to the living room)

Dante-Aaron. Do you believe that your father would want this?

Aaron-Like I care what my old man would want.

Dante-Listen. I am in the same boat as you. My family was killed.

Aaron-So.

Dante(sighs and looks at Sarah)-Did your father teach him about running a city?

Aaron-Yes. He did.

Dante-Why dont you take what he taught you. And try to build this city up once more?

Aaron(looks away)

Dante-Instead of getting High with your so-called 'friends'

Sarah-Please. He speaks the truth. Even though you are young. You can still take dad's place.

Aaron(sighs)-Whatever.

Dante-You need to help yourself. You need to help your city.

Aaron(sighs)-Fine...

Dante-You will stop using. You will get better. You will rebuild.

Aaron-Alright. I will.

(Aaron stands and heads upstairs)

(Sarah looks at Dante)

Sarah-Thank you.

Dante-You are welcome.

(He looks at the clock and sighs)

Dante-I need to go.

Sarah-You can...stay here if you want...

Dante-Sorry. I need supplies. Then I will go.

(She nods)

Sarah-Alright.

Dante-Make sure he gets on the correct track. You are a strong woman. You can help him.

Sarah-Thank you. Again.

(He stands and walks out)
