(The dream self pokes his head out of the door)
(Looking both directions)
(He brings his head back in and closes the door)

(He hears the lock)
(A smile appears on his face)

(He goes into another memory)

(They are in the Hotel)

(A man walking to his door)
(A severed head)

(He hangs it on the door)

(Nausea hits him)

(Another memory from the shadow of the moon)

(They are on the rooftop)
(Ash in his arms. Her head on his chest)

(The night is perfect)

(He smiles)

(The morning comes)

(She wakes up)
(They exchange some words. A few kisses)
(She stands and walks forward)

(He stays seated)

(He smiles)

(They hug each other. Her in disbelief)

(His smile fades as he remembers the next part)

(They are in the room now)

(The door is kicked open)

(The scene unfolds)

Life is funny.
One moment you are so happy nothing can bring you down.
The next you are being taken back.

(He sighs)
(He watches them go into the back of the Pelican)

(He shakes his head)

(Knowing the next memory)

(She sits in silence)

(monitoring him)
(Constantly checking him)

Sarah-I know Uncle...but...what if he doesnt come out of it?

Nikolai-He will.

Sarah-How do you know?

Nikolai-It has happened...once before that I observed. During his training

(He sees Ash)

(He is in his cell)

(Ash in a seperate cell)

(He is thrown into the day in which she left)

(He locked up)

(He sighs)

(He is back on the path)
(He goes into a run as he gets closer and closer to the Netherrealm)

(He comes across a large gate)

(It opens)
(He steps through)

(A large area)
(Lighted by nothing but a single light)

(He looks around)
(A figure walks into the light as he does)

(Laughter)

(Laughter)

(Laughter)


(He looks at Zayne)
(He activates the blade and puts it against his neck)

Yes

(Zayne jumps back)

Zayne-This will be oh so fun.

(A bell rings)

Zayne-Ding. Ding. ROUND TWO!

(Zayne lunges forward with the blade)
(He blocks it and punches him)

(Zayne dodges the punch and kicks him)

(He dodges the kick grabbing the leg and throwing him)

(Zayne lands on his feet and rushes him once more)

(He dodges the possible slice and counters with his own)

(The blade running across Zayne's back)

Zayne-Oh. You got me. That means I am it.

(Zayne turns around and runs at him again)

(He tries to dodge a punch, but fails)
(A kick was landed on him as well)

(He staggers back)
(He spits up some blood)


(Real world)

(He begins to bleed)
(Nikolai and Sarah are still out of the room)

Zayne-Come on. Your turn to tag me!

(Laughter)

(He stands his ground)

Zayne-It. Is. Your. TURN!

(He waits for Zayne's move)

Zayne-You. Are not. Following. THE RULES!

(Zayne rushes at him)

(He uses the blade)

(Slicing the robotic arm)

(It falls with a clatter)

Zayne-Hey! I needed that!

(Laughter)

(Zayne rushes again)

(He lands a kick to his face)
(As he stumbles back he runs at him)
(Jabbing the blade through him)

(He quickly brings the blade out and slashes his other arm)

(Blood begins to pour out from the wounds)

(He steps back)

(Zayne goes on his knees)

Zayne-Tag. I am it.

(He stands up)

Zayne-My turn!

(Laughter)

(Zayne lunges forward)

(He dodges and punches his face)

(Zayne falls back)

Zayne-HEY! I SAID IT WAS MY TURN!

(He lifts Zayne up by the collar)
(His eyes flashing)

Your blood will be spilled

(He takes the blade and jabs his stomach)
(Over and over)
(Repeatedly)
(Wounds forming over wounds)
(Blood flowing)

(He tosses Zayne to the side)
(The bloody mess lands in a heap)

(Laughter)

Zayne-You...break the rules....a lot...Dante...

(Zayne stands)
(Zayne begins to waver)

Zayne-Fight me. Make me die.

(He walks up to him)
(He takes the blade and sticks it into his heart)
(He takes it out and stabs the throat)
(He takes it out and slices the neck)

(He finishes it by stabbing the head)

(He looks into the eyes)

(Zayne utters the final words)

I will not stop. Until. I see your beautiful fiance.

(He takes the blade and stabs him again)
(Zayne falls)

(He checks the pulse)
(Dead)

No words. Will be said to you.

(He leaves the Netherrealm)

(As he is waking. It explodes)
(He arrives at the beginning of the road)

(Hope and Sarge waiting)

Hope-You...did it

Dante-You say that like it is unbelievable

Sarge-Great Job.

Dante-Thank you.

(He looks at Hope)

Dante-Scan me. Recalibrate.

(She nods and waves her hand over him)

Hope-This will take some time.

(He can feel her rifling through his mind)

(A strange sensation)

(After some time the sensation ends)
(He feels a tad dizzy)

Hope-That will wear off.

Dante-It had better.

(He looks at Sarge)

Sarge-Whenever you are ready sir.

Dante-Status?

Sarge-A week or so has passed

Dante-Strange

Dante-Felt like only a few hours in here

(He shakes his head)

Hope-Yeah. That is a strange thing about the Dream Realm

Dante(nods)-Everything is clear?

Hope-Yes. Everything.

(He nods again)

Sarge-When you are ready.

(He steps through a door that had appeared)

(His eyes flick open)
(He looks around)

A week...

(He removes the blood from his mouth)

(Sarah and Nikolai enter the room)

Sarah-Oh my god!

(She rushes to him and hugs him)

Sarah-You're alright!

(He hugs back)

Dante-Yeah. Where are my things?

(She releases him and points to the corner)

(He looks over to see his stuff laid out neatly)

(He nods)

Dante-One week has passed.

(She looks shocked)

Sarah-Yes...How...did you know

Dante-A feeling.

(Nikolai walks over to him)

Nikolai-Dante. How are you feeling?

Dante-I am fine. I need to get out of here.

(He stands)
(Removing the IV)

(He goes to his clothes)

(Sarah and Nikolai leave the room)
(Closing the door)

(He removes the patient scrub and puts on his clothes)
(He puts his armor on)

(She sighs)

(She throws him off of her)

(She leaves the hospital)
(She starts running to the port)

(He begins the preparations)

(She enters the port and sees the Pelican)

(She runs to it and hops in the back before the hatch closes)

(He and the SHIELDS lift off)

(She goes to the seat next to the door)

(They break atmosphere and wait some time)
