The Rise RP: Mission Three

Paarthurnax turned around and saw another human, asking him how he and his warriors were, finally someone who actually cared. Paarthurnax nods.

"I am fantastic, thanks for asking."

Paarthurnax looks over to his warriors.

"They're great too, how are you fairing?"

"Thats good, but me, I'm erm...surviving you could say. I'm glad see you're alright, your comrades."
=I notice that doctors are attempting to bring back an Elite.=
"Hm, hes still has hope? I was certain he was dead...'

Paarthurnax looks over to S bi, before a tear is quickly brought to his eyes.

"They have brought him back to life four times, his wounds are severe, they are trying to patch him up, he is stable and on life support. That is the best they can do for now."

He rests one hand on the cabinet beside him, leaning over, trying to hide his emotions.

"I lost too many good friends on that mission..."

=i look at the new person=
New guy? Nice to meet ya. Name's Rubble.

"It's nice to meet you too Rubble, sir."

It seemed weird, not being called Anya...

It really did...

What's your name? Grunts like me don't get told much.

"My name's An-Sync. My name's Sync." I said, stumbling between my DSMN and my actual name...

An-Sync, eh?

Nice to meet ya, Sync. What do you do for a living?

The human had walked over to S bi, checking on him. Paarthurnax saw the demolition guy and the FNG, Paarthurnax walked over. He didn't do much except hide his emotions, he placed one hand on the demolition guys shoulder and nodded.

=I look to the new person=

Sych, eh? Name's Hawk, by the way.

=I grin=

Sorry if I was a bit rude.

"It's nice to meet you too, Hawk. No problem before, I get moved around quite a lot, I'm used to it." I said to Hawk, noting the Elite.

"What do I do for a living? Well... I mess with Computers..."

=i shook my shoulder, knocking the Elite's hand off, but didn't move away from him=
A geek, eh? You good with a rifle?

=the shaking was ever present, I just refused to give it any form of notice=

"A rifle? I'm... Okay. I guess. I think." I said, it was honestly the truth.

Paarthurnax giggled as a thought came to him. Perhaps a sudden shock of homosexuality, scared the human, who knew. He didn't bend that way.

"And I...I am Paarthurnax, leading Sangheili of our...Sangheili forces here."

He bows towards the new arrival.

=i raised an eyebrow=
You ever shot a rifle?

"Its... Its... Urm... Nice to meet you Paarthurnax." I said to the Elite.

"I've fired a rifle... Maybe once, or twice... In training, of course." I said to Rubble, almost ashamed of it.

=i couldn't help but smile=
You haven't had any combat experience, have you?

"Urm... I've had combat experience... Just not against anything that is certain to kill me..."

Paarthurnax too broke out into a smile before nearly falling over from laughter.

"That is...somewhat intriguing."

=i chuckle=
That's not combat experience. That's training. Don't worry. You've got Hawk and I. We'll keep ya safe and secure while you computerize.

Explosives is my specialty. The bigger the boom, the more fun it is.

"Just as long as I get to keep to my fancy computer, things should be all good."

I guessed.

Paarthurnax felt secluded from this group so he stayed quite, with his armour on, displaying an intimidating look.

(Posting for a few pages, stuck waiting at the moment and I need a way to kill a little time)

I sit and relax in one of the debreifing room chairs. Considering I was the one not in armour with the worst weapons, I'd taken a surprisingly small amount of damage in comparison to the rest of them. I guessed I wasn't as big of a target, but that's still poor form for any army. They still should have listened to me though. No-one ever listens to Sparrow

=I push off the wall I was leaning on, I then greet the newbie.=
"I see you've already met Hawk and Rubble, don't let them get to you."

=Within the sixteen hours prior. As well as the time of waiting for everyone else. I had been working off my injuries. It wasn't recommended of course, but I didn't care. I had to get up and do something. I loved sleep, but when I get bored. I get bored=

Paarthurnax folded his arms whilst listening to their rambling conversation. He was mourning the loss of his fellow warriors, all of them, including Vee. All his fault. He turned around in anger and kicked one of the medical beds over, causing a scene. He was angry...nearing a rage.

=I put my hand on him to try to calm him down.=
Is it because his friend died? Or hes just really pissed of because of.....its his friend.
=I look him in the face.=
"It wasn't your fault. They fought bravely to secure our safety, how could there be a any more honorable death?"
=I pat him on the back.=
"It wasn't your fault."

He shakes his head, frustrated.

"Negative, because of I, thirty died and an additional six, as a result of my terrible commanding, I am not worthy of such a position!"

He grabs his helmet and throws it on the floor, he places his head in his hands, too much had been lost.

"I'm sorry but this is war....there will be losses."
=I sit down next to him, to help me try to comfort him.=
=It was a bit awkward due to him being much taller than me.=
I've never seen anyone so close with his comrades. Sometimes I wish I was born Sangheili.

He sobbed, he was upset, he still felt it was his fault.

"I know, but if I had focused more on the options that we had instead of what I thought was best, then perhaps they would have been alive, as well as if I had chosen to go in by Phantom, we might not have lost four warriors there, I shouldn't of let those two stay behind either."

He sobbed even more.

"I should never have been put in charge of this mission, never..."

I don't know what to say at this point other than what I had already said. Its sad to think of the deaths.....Even sadder is I don't think about it
=I motion for someone to pick the bed back up.=

Paarthurnax continues to sob, he wasn't sure what to do at this point.

=I stand up, after sitting for a long while, and stretch. I finally stop and start walking around, not listening to anything going on around me=

I wonder if my squad is back. Ugh. Who cares. They seem to be better off without me anyways. Why do they even need me? They left me here without saying a word

I had left the med-bay a while ago and found myself wandering. I was heading to the armory but I let my mind fly free and I ended up in the docking hanger. I was watching a recently docked shuttle from the spartan training ground. A group of fresh meat came off of the shuttles. Some have barely tasted combat aside from the training. I felt old.

=I stand up and look back to Sync, syhc I don't know, one of those.=
"Likewise."

He stood up, the sobbing was quite silent so hardly anyone heard it, he walked over to where his helmet lay and he picked it up and placed it firmly on his head. Torix approached him.

"The warriors are prepared sir, the Zealot did not make it."

"What of S bi, Torix?"

"He is miraculously stable, they are patching up the wounds as we speak."

"Excellent, looks like the gods are holding their promises."

"Indeed so, I will stay with S bi if that is acceptable?"

"Yes, have tasks for F'alas and Quna to complete."

"Yes, your excellency."

Torix turned away and gave F'alas and Quna their orders, before returning to S bi's side.

Paarthurnax had finished here, he walked over to Commander Aegir.

"Commander, your superior will be interested with our Shipmaster, to hear of his crimes and such."

He looks back to the Zealot, then to S bi who was fighting for his life. He returns to the Commander.

"I will return to the fleet...and I will make him pay..."

"If you think it's right. I need to go clear my head. I'll see you in the debriefing room, if you'll be there."

Paarthurnax nodded before smoothly heading off himself, he still had his warriors to lead, but one day, he would return back to the Fleet and make things just. He started to the Briefing Room, slowly with a slight wobble, his leg paining him from the explosion.

"No Admiral, they managed to escape the Depot, with a majority of their teams left. Then, we flooded the Rendezvous Point with Insurgents, thanks to Solak, however with the aid of the Spartans, a majority escaped there as well."

"What of before their return, during their first phase?"

"Thirty six, not including Paarthurnax died Shipmaster."

"He seems to be slippery, he knows of our plan, ensure that you do not fail when they are on their next objective. It is imperative that he is destroyed, he cannot be trusted, not now..."

"Yes, your humbleness."
