The Rise RP: Mission Three

This is hardly a rest though. Even I'm still feeling it.

Paarthurnax enters the room quite abruptly, he was scared now. He was a wanted target. He entered the room quite tense, he took off his helmet and threw it on the table before sitting down, twiddling his thumbs, making a scene.

=I go into the breifing room and spot Alpha=

Well, at least someone has a measure of sight...

=I find a spot in the room and wait for the rest of my squad=

Let's see what this op will entail...

I had left my earlier spot to head to the training room until I saw a what time it was on a clock I had passed.

Dammit. I hope I am not late...again.

I quickly walked to the designated meeting room that was suppose to report to. It was the correct room as I recognized some of the faces. I walked in and laid against the wall to the left of the door.

=i had wandered about randomly from the medbay, eventually heading to the briefing room. I walked in, nodded to everyone present, and then went and sat down near Hawk=

Why doesn't Master Fivak want to reinforce Paarthurnax? He needs help and the Ship Master turns a blind eye? How incredibly strange.
I think Fivak is up to something. Maybe destroy the human ship? But why?
I know a few brothers who I trust, they know how to fly in which case is required. I have no clue when it comes to flying.
I don't want to do it but if it saves lives I may very well have to initiate the plan.

=I headed to the Briefing room, hopefully I wasn't late, or the last person to arrive. That wouldn't be such a great start to my new... Urm... Would you call it a job? Once I arrived, I was hopefully not late, but just leaned against the wall, hoping to not make much of an impression.=

Paarthurnax sits and waits, thinking over things. He isn't quite sure what to do...all there is to do...sit and wait.

"Officer..."

Paarthurnax turns around to see Torix, with S bi, held up by Torix. Behind them were Quna and F'alas.

"Fantastic, I am proud of you...all of you."

"Officer, he is in a stable condition...for now."

"Good, Torix, you will stay with him until he is stable enough to be on his own. Quna and F'alas, you two will prepare a meal or two for Torix and S bi."

F'alas and Quna head off, whilst Paarthurnax leads them to the table and chairs they will be sitting at.

=I sat there thinking about the last mission, the casualties we had, the failure in retrieving the information and the permanent injuries. Overall not worth it but its war....

(Bunda Darma)
=I casually walked around the hanger, waiting for them to show up. I previously made the plan a go and I'm waiting for the others to arrive.
=After awhile one stealthily walks in, as in, camouflaged.=

His man are looking for us, how he known I don't know.

Good, lets get this phantom set...

Quna and F'alas had not returned yet, he wasn't bothered though, just happy that S bi was okay. He was sitting on the table, lying down with his monitor connected. Paarthurnax looked over to him, to see if he was all right.

"Are you in any pain, brother?"

"No....I'm...fine..."

"Good, now rest young one. You have earned it."

S bi rested, he was in a stable condition for now.

Another Brother Comes In, Also In Stealth. Then Two More Until We're All Here Except One.
"Where is Yuma?"
Either he was captured or he is aligned with Fivak and told him we are leaving.
"Either way we have to leave, now."
With that everyone gets into the phantom.
The ship's intercom plays a message.

Those of you who purposefully committing treason surrender now and answer for your crimes!

"Time to go brothers."
The phantom comes to life and takes off after we open the doors.

=Had gone from the Med-baby to the armory=

I have holes in my armor, looks like this'll be a soft mission

=traces his fingers over the entry hole=

hollow point rounds.... with a kinetic displacer. No wonder it went through.

Paarthurnax removes his helmet, the heat was exhausting and he was sweating. He just sits and waits until everyone arrives.

=I slowly but surely fall asleep.=

"They're sending phantoms! Prepare for battle!"
=I wasn't at the controls but at the plasma cannon, firing at the incoming enemies.=

=Dresses in his Spec-ops gear=

"This....It's been too long since I've worn this."

=stretches in his old gear, getting used to it again.=

"Raven Recon armor, the armor of the fast moving Raven core."

=looks at the weapons loaded in the armory for their next mission=

sub-machine guns and assault rifles. Looks like this is starting out as a stealth mission.

Paarthurnax placed his helmet back on his face, he ran a system check.

"System diagnosis...run."

The Adviser runs back to his station.

"Phantom and Banshee platoons, engage the Phantom with all you have, Shipmaster's orders!"

=I shoot until it overheats and I look back to the carrier, a massive amount of ships come spilling out of it.=
"Brothers! More are coming! Full speed!"
=We quickly came under fire, ships shields take half of their energy maximum almost immediately.=
=Fear was setting in now, had I made a mistake?=
=I hear the engines become even louder, the tension worse than before.=

Nerlok looked straight ahead through the Phantom's cockpit.

"All Banshee squadrons, arm your Fuel Rods."

He waited as all of the Phantoms got in line, forming the plasma shield in front, making them invincible.

"Banshee platoon one, armed."

"Banshee platoon two, armed."

"Banshee platoon three, armed."

"Engage!"

"Incoming Banshee Fire!"
=I could see a sea of green flying towards us, not at all a pretty sight.=
=I never tried so hard to destroy my brethren...=

(Javoc Donjen)
"Hold on!'
=I grip the controls ever tighter as I flank to the left, going downward than rising, completely avoiding the fuel rods.=
=I turn right so we don't go off track, our only hope is Athenia's Province, human controlled.=

(Golen Dasra)
"Open the back doors! I have a surprise for them..."
=They open as I reach for my fuel rod. I place it on my shoulder and fire into the banshee horde with a heavy heart.=

He looked disappointed as all of the Fuel Rods missed nearly.

"Disgraceful. Arm again!"

Celoz looked away from the Phantom to arm his pods, he looked back up and an unexpected Fuel Rod hit him, blowing him and three other Banshees up, also messing up the formation of the rest of the Banshees and Phantoms.

=I maneuver the phantom to avoid shots fired, still at top speed.=

(Bunda Darma)
=I kept firing with the plasma cannon, aiming for the banshees.=
=I struck one down, I let it cool down then fired again.=

(Golen Dasra)
=I fired the rest of the clip, reloaded and fired the entire clip towards a phantom. I then fire towards any banshee that came close.=

Five more Banshees fell, an entire platoon down now. A few more Banshees fell, going into one of the Phantom's plasma shielding, it fell into the next and that fell into the next, until the next withdrew from the line, breaking the formation as four Phantom's fell.

"Blasphemy. How is this happening? Get me the Shipmaster!"

"Yes Ultra."

=I get out of the chair, sitting there for a long time was a pain. I start looking around for anyone of interest, eventually heading to the briefing room, I approach the door, and stand at the doorway=

=I look up to see a Spartan standing in the doorway=

(Welcoming) Come on in, man.

=I gesture to the many empty spots=

Go ahead and take a seat. Shouldn't be much longer.

=I look at the Spartan, and proceed to enter the room=

I just got out of a seat, and got myself in a situation that requires me to sit...

Can I stand?

"(Golen Dasra)
"Rest in peace brothers."
=I felt terrible for what I did, I couldn't shake it.=
"Here, give me the intercom, I need to say something."

(Javoc Donjen)
=I keep moving about at high speeds, it was highly dangerous for me and the crew and is suggested not to be done. But I had too otherwise we would be goners.=
=I hand Golen the built in mic then put my hand back onto the controls.=

(Golen Dasra)
"Attention All Attacking Forces Please Stop This Lunacy, Please Return."
=It was a long shot, but I had to try to stop the pointless blood shed.=

I nudge Whisper and speak softly to him

Two new kids. Huh. This is becoming quite an army.

"Negative, do not retreat."

"All forces, retreat, we have lost too much, it is not worth it."

"This is heresy!"

"No, it's called saving your warriors."

All other Banshees and Phantoms fell back, but Nerlok forced his Phantom on, alone.

=I look at the new Spartan=

=I sit back and try to collect my thoughts=

"I Repeat Please Stop This Pointless Bloodshed And Retreat!"
=He doesn't turn around, I'm sadden by his action.=
=No longer on intercom.=
"Jovac, do not engage him, keep going."
Maybe when we are at the human's ship he'll come to his senses and go back.

=I walk over to a corner, and lean against the wall=

I wonder what this is all about, or why hasn't it started.

"Follow them, do not engage. I want to deal with them personally when they arrive at their destination."

He smiled and equipped his golden handled sword, which had a spiralling cage going around it. Captured from killing a Swordmaster.

"This will be a pleasant victory."

Interesting is certainly the word here.

"Good. He is not attacking only following. Prepare for a battle when we arrive."
=I let go of the cannon, my hands still shaking from the vibration it creates.=

(Jovac Donjen)
=I stop holding my breath and sigh deeply.=
=I slow the phantom back to normal speed.=
=Also I close the rear doors.=

=I woke up with a jolt, nearly bouncing out of my chair.=
"Whoa, that....was different."
=I slink back into my chair and look around.=
Another new guy, I'm feeling old...

He stood there, disappointed with the rest of the Phantoms and Banshees, they were cowards. They neared some land, a ship perhaps from a way off.

We came closer and closer until we're in comms distance.

=We almost completely stop as in, barely moving.=

"Slow down, follow them in."

He stood and watched them get closer to the ship that was still some way off.

=Looking at various different people, and being away from the other people; watching absolutely nothing happen, I get quite bored quickly=

Anything going to happen here, or am I just standing in this room for nothing?

A briefing? Fun, but, we aren't doing anything besides sitting here. Care to explain?

Waiting for it to start is all. You volunteered to be a Spartan, this comes with the territory. Boring sections before action packed I'm going to die sections.
