Do you hear anyone else complaining about the wait? No. This is to be expected. Whatever you were told before hand about the UNSC being swift and timely at all times, is a lie, common sense would tell you that. Things are to be expected to be delayed. Accept it.

I sent the Intel to the intel officers, and they said it would be a while before they could get anything done with it.

The Navy, the ocean, the lapping of waves against the boat, the weather, the cramped quarters, the bunks. being on the Athena's province is many things, but it's not like being in the water. Sentimental.

[While everyone was in the briefing room]
Aegir heads to the Commanding Intelligence officers in section 12b, he was called to speak with commander sevlinski via comm. He was informed that The mission objectives would be given by a Rookie intel officer who has pinned the location of a base, so that they could stay on the ground instead of having to fly in and out of atmosphere. Sevlinski was dealing with politics and couldn't be there himself. After the calling, he was dismissed and headed to the debriefing room.

Excellent, what team and/or squad would that be?

I look away from Aegir awaiting our intel. Soon a very tiny figure of a man walks in as nervous as a grunt surrounded by marines. You could tell that he is rarely around spartan and slash or heard bad things abiut us. I would have felt pity but his stature and body language made me laugh inside. I gave Aegir a nudge and made a small grunt noise to poke fun at him. He put the papers down in preparation to start. I almos lost it at the hearing of his name...

This should be entertaining. I said under my breath.

I remain seated in my chair, simply observing the goings-on around me. The intel officer walks into the room, nervously. I pitch my voice up loud enough for everyone in the room

No-body say boo. He might have a heart-attack.

On the other hand, the new-new kid will have to keep that mouth in check in my squad.
