Dormii's sidarc: Journey to the beginning

Paarthurnax looked to Dormii.

"There onboard their flagship. I mean the hangar doors are disabled. It is up to you, you do not have to?"

Paarthurnax awaited anxiously.

=i shake my head=

It is not my choice to decide if you return to your family. It is yours. They are your family, not mine.

Paarthurnax smiled at his consideration.

"Lets go, take us to the ship"

Paarthurnax put his notes and his Nano-Pad into his utility, and held his sword out.

"Human, do not hesitate to attack them if they do so on you. I will hold nothing against you"

=I nod=
I'll do my best to not kill anyone.

=I banked the fighter towards the ship, turning off the slipspace drive in the process=

Their vessel had just entered the hangar, which had Jiralhanae bodies all over the place. Dormii turned off the engines. Paarthurnax quickly jumped out of the cockpit. once he did he scanned the area, looking left and right. Dormii had set up the ship and he walked over.
Paarthurnax started towards the next pile of Jiralhanae, which led all the way through the ship.

"Follow me. I know were the Command Bridge is"

=I nod and follow=

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING! GET BACK TO YOUR PROMISE!"

Shut up. I'm still doing this. You've waited this long, wait some more.

Paarthurnax looked back and saw the human, he seemed to be having some trouble.

"Dormii, are you alright. Not much further now?"

He continued along the long hallways until reaching the Mess hall, were he knew they were close. He stopped and saw two Sangheili on the floor, two Special Operations Units, one an Operative and the other a Minor.

"Rest in peace brothers. Unshruk itsuri!"

"I will NOT! You gave me your promise to do this in return for me helping save your friends. I did my part NOW DO YOURS!"

I am doing it, you idiot. It's a detour. Deal with it unless you want me to kill us right here and now!

=I nodded to Paarthurnax and continued following him=

' SYSTEM A.I DETECTS AN ISSUE WITH THE HUMAN ACCOMPANYING YOU. A RISE IN ANGER ISSUES AND BEHAVIOR ISSUES DETECTED!'

Paarthurnax stopped and turned towards the Human, he looked at him strangely. He turned back around and headed on.

"Human...You ever feel worried, or strange, you can tell me. You know that right?"

Paarthurnax cautiously moved on, knowing something was wrong with the Human.[center]

It's a personal matter. Nothing to do with you.

=i followed along, trying to look harmless=

Paarthurnax acknowledged the human's comments, and knew something was wrong. Put he persisted on to the control room. He had reached the Command Bridge, the human was still being strange. Paarthurnax saw his father fighting off some Jiralhanae.

"Dormii help the others!"

Paarthurnax saw his father and sprinted towards him, his sword out and pierced one of the Jiralhanae straight through the head. He removed his sword and linked arms with his father.

"Who is that human Paarthurnax?"

Alduin had asked Paarthurnax a question whilst still fighting them. Paarthurnax narrowly evading a spear.

"My friend!"

Alduin and his son quickly finished of the Jiralhanae, and he looked dead towards his son. All the Jiralhanae were finished off, even the reinforcements. Alduin clicked his fingers and he had his unit surround the human. Paarthurnax growled and jumped backwards straight infront of the human. He put his sword away, and equipped his sheathed blades. He quickly went into a stealthy stance.

"You shall not harm him!"

A Special Operations Minor approached them.

"What you are doing is heresy, you-"

"No. This human saved my life, and now I'm saving his. I came back to help you, and you try to kill my friend!"

Alduin approached with his swords drawn, and pointed towards him.

"You...You would pick some filthy human...Over your brothers, over your father?"

Paarthurnax removed his helmet and looked towards his father.

"I am not chosing anyone over anyone. Merely protecting the human who saved my life!"

Alduin clicked his fingers and they slowly moved in. Paarthurnax sheathed his left blade and grabbed the human, throwing him back through the door, before unsheathing his left blade. One of the the Rangers put a shield door up, blocking the human and Paarthurnax from eachother.
Paarthurnax jumped straight over the others, and ran towards the control panel slicing all the controls which opened the door back up. Two SpecOps ran towards him, he made a quick evade and striked one whilst pushing the over away. He neared the door with the human on the other side.

"This is why I did not return. I do not need you any longer. Not until you change your ways!"

Paarthurnax sheathed his blades and ran.

=I followed Paarthurnax, running behind him and to his side. I refused to unsheathe my arm blade, not as long as there was a non-violent ending to this whole thing=

Paarthurnax and Dormii ran, easily evading the Plasma shots from the SpecOps Unit that were pursuing them. They were chasing them straight through the Mess Hall. They were not going to let them leave without a fight.
He forgot about the Sub-machine gun that he had in his holster. He equipped it and sprayed at the others.

"Dormii, I shall hold them off, get to the ship and start it up. If I am not there in five minutes, go without me!"

Paarthurnax turned whilst running to suppress the SpecOps.

=I shook my head, stopping next to Paarthurnax=
No. I'm more accustomed to human weaponry, I can use it better. You go to the ship, tap the front middle console in a triangle, it doesn't matter which buttons. I'll be there.

=I held my hand out for the SMG=

Paarthurnax nodded and placed the weapon in the human's hands before sprinting off to the ship. He had never run so fast in all of his life, he could feel his blood pumping fast around his body, it was like a sugar rush.
There were a few more rooms, until the hangar bay but there was plenty of time, or so he thought.

He had finally reached the ship, he did as the human said with the controls being in a triangle shape or something like that, the ship lighted up and it was prepared. It was now for Dormii to do his thing. He had his sword prepared, waiting for either good news or bad news.

=I shot at the pursuing Elites, slowing them down. I started running backwards, firing as I went until the SMG ran dry. I didn't have any spare clips on me, so I threw it, hard, at the closest Elite. The gun hit him/her in the jaw, and stumbled them, tripping up a few others. I ran faster towards the hanger bay. I saw a door begin to close, and I jumped through it before it shut completely. I ran towards the fighter and quickly jumped in. I closed the hatch and launched us out of the hanger=

Quite a father you have.

Paarthurnax laughed and rested his sword by his side.

"Indeed. I did not expect him to react like this. It is because you are human. I shall never return, unless he changes his views"

Paarthurnax rested his head. He started to go to sleep.

"Dormii, I think I shall rest now, until our destination. I have grown tired friend"

It won't be too long. I'll wake you when we are about to land.

=I started up the Slipspace drive and quickly jumped to the next planet, Shield Handle III. It would be a bit longer then the last jump, so Paarthurnax would get some more sleep=

Paarthurnax quickly went to sleep, whilst they entered Slip-space. All was fine, and he was happy with his friend.

=A few hours later, we arrived in the Shield Handle III system, near the actual planet. I angled us towards the planet, heading towards one of the smaller outposts seen on my screen. I saw a small dot on the HUD, on the side of the Gauss cannon. It had the shape and velocity of a MAC round. I rolled and the shot went wide. A warning shot. I sent a standard comm saying I meant no harm, and that I was going to land in peace. I hoped they would get the message and let us through=

Paarthurnax, yet again almost ended up out of the windscreen of the Forerunner Vessel. He let out a long yawn and checked outside.

"That was a wonderful wake-up call Dormii, just marvellous!"

Paarthurnax rubbed his eyes and squinted as he saw the bursting lights below.

"Where are we?"

The wake up call was courtesy of a warning shot. Expect a...less than warming welcome thanks to that introduction.

=I continued on my course, heading to the smallest outpost=

"That sounds entertaining!"

Paarthurnax laughed as the Human made a funny remark. Then focusing on the mission ahead.

"What is the name of this target, can we expect the same as last time?"

The target is Joli Reprioski and I don't know. Either way, I'm the one who kills her.

"So this one is a female, it shall be an honor to see the female of your galaxy...In action"

Paarthurnax laughed then stopped.

"You get to kill her anyway, I know that. There is no need to say it in that mannor Human, remember who's side I am on here"

Paarthurnax seemed a little offended by this comment, but knew he probably meant well.

I know. Some things just feel better if said out loud.

=I entered the atmosphere and a group of fighters fkew next to us, "escorting" us. Really they were making sure we wouldn't go off course, and, if necessary, shoot us down. They did fly a bit carefully though, which is understandable given the nature of my chip=

Paarthurnax admired their efforts.

"Their attempts are quite adequate"

He laughed at the thought of his own Species.

"My race would destroy their ship and glass their entire planet!"

I don't doubt it. I only see one ship in orbit, and a lot of ground based fighters. That's not much a defense.

=I pulled up a bit, slowing us down in our descent. We approached the landing pad, and I could see a group of vehicles moving on a dirt road towards the outpost. I guess these were a paranoid bunch, perfect for anyone with a guilty conscience and wanting to hide. Or maybe Joli just fit in with these people, who knew=

Paarthurnax got ready to exit the Vessel and waited for Dormii's say so.

"What's our first move Human?"

Cooperate, do as they say. Wait for a chance to talk to Joli. Then kill her. Make our way out. Simple.

=We landed, and I powered down the craft. I opened the cockpit and hopped out. A group of soldiers appeared, as well as those vehicles, which turned out to be warthogs, but instead of the traditional AA cannon, it looked more like a old HMG, like from 21st century type deals. The warthog itself also looked old, ramshackle, beaten and put together in a way that would work, but not look pretty. I'm guessing they just didn't have very many supplies, or did and just didn't use them=

"They look unhealthy and poor. It would be wise to put an end to their misery!"

Paarthurnax equipped his sword and was stopped by the human.

=i put my arm up to block his path=
No, no, no. No casualties but Joli. Not unless you are forced to, clear?

=i turned my head to look at him. The soldiers walked closer, and the armored vehicles pulled up on all sides of us, guns pointed=

Paarthurnax nodded and walked to the soldiers, Dormii rushed over to try and stop him.

"Its fine. I am not going to do anything!"

He continued to walk to the soldiers. They still had their weapons pointing at them. He gripped his sword infront of their faces, putting it back into it's holster.

"See, we are friendly. We do not mean harm!"

They looked confused and did not do anything. He looked back to Dormii and shrugged.

"What's the matter?"

Well, you are still an Elite, you know. You are kinda intimidating.

=I didn't even bother to grab one of my arma from the cockpit. I simply stood there and waited for someone resembling a commander to arrive. The soldiers all looked nervous, like, open-fire nervous. I did everything I could to not be threatening, which is kinda hard when in Spartan armor and having an arm that has parts that move of their own accord=

Paarthurnax shrugged and returned by his side, he felt quite insulted that they felt that way.

"They do not have to be so timid. It is not like I was going to harm them!"

He stood there like the human, and waited for a response from them. But one did not come, they stood there, with weapons aiming at their heads.

Well, I know that, but how do they know? Humanity isn't big on faith. We've been burned by faith in more than one way, even by our own people.

=I saw a dot off in the distance. I zoomed in and could barely make out a Falcon. It was a far ways off, so I knew it wouldn't be here anytime soon=

Paarthurnax looked confused and did not know what to do. He just waited and saw what was happening.

"I guess you are right Human"

=We waited a bit longer, and the Falcon arrived, landing behind the troops. A lone person dismounted, and walked towards us. They didn't have any weaponry on them, well, not that I could see. They walked up to us, it was hard to tell if they were male of female, and asked us a very simple question=

"What are you doing here?"

I'm looking for someone. Joli Reprioski. You know where I can find her?

"Not that I'm aware of, but I'm sure something can be done. Now, why did you not land at our main facility? Why land here?"

My craft is of neither human nor Covenant design, and, judging from the welcome I received from entering this system, I did not want to be attacked for no reason. I wanted to land, unprovoked, and go about my search without interrupting you all.

=they looked at Paarthurnax=

"And why do you have an Elite with you?"

Paarthurnax looked at the human, and looked very innocent her walked up to the other humans, he went to bow and they jumped back.

"Look, I am fed up with your kind always backing away, like I am something different. We are here on an assignment and we wish to do it. Can you help us or not, answer and I will leave your head on you body?"

Paarthurnax drew his sword and lighted it, things were getting hot.

=the person took off their helmet and smiled at us. It was a woman, but her hair was shaved to almost nonexistence, probably due to military standards. She reached behind her back and pulled out an Energy sword handle, and she lighted it as well=

"Bring it, squid face."

=I stepped between the two of them=
We don't want any trouble, here. We just want to see Joli, then leave. Please, take us back to your city so we may conduct a proper search. This isn't going to help anyone if we kill each other.

=the woman looked at me, then the Elite, and turned off her sword, putting it back behind her back=
"Whatever. Follow me. Keep all weapons off and keep your hands away from them."

=She walked back towards her Falcon, putting her helmet back on. I look at Paarthurnax until he put his weapon away. We both followed the woman, keeping silent and trying to look as non-threatening as possible=

Paarthurnax was angry now, the women had challenged him, and Dormii came between them. Although deep down Paarthurnax knew what Dormii did as right, he got quite insulted by the fact he was interupted.

"Human I could have taken her. I knew she was a pathetic swordsmen"

He muzzled right up to him and whispered something to him.

"Do not do that again friend, please do not!"

=i whispered back=
Friend, this mission comes first for me. I am not going to let you compromise it, even if you are my friend.

Paarthurnax did not reply, he just continued to walk on with them. He did not feel the need to argue, he would only get insulted more. His sword was placed back in its holster a while back. He was looking at the humans through his helmets visor, and recording most of this from his shoulder camera. He knew this would make an excellant video, back on his homeworld.
He could see Dormii and the others through it, he cracked a smile and walked on innocently. A few minutes had past, and they were still walking along a stupid boring road. Paarthurnax got out his Nano-Pad and looked at some of the things. An inbox full of things, he opened it up and he found one from his father. He looked at it.

- The message read -
' Paarthurnax, I am sorry for the way I acted, I thought you were dead, and you return with a human, son that is insulting. You must execute him, and the rest who you have been affiliated with, my mind may change over time, but for now I want them executed, as a father, as your Commander.

Paarthurnax looked up at the humans, to Dormii and the blonde bitch who had angered him. He looked back at his Pad and smiled. He liked the idea of a little assassinating, but he was not agreeing to Dormii's assassination.

"It shall be done, my Commander, by the will of the gods, it shall"

He carefully grabbed his sword and rested it behind his back for a while, before bringing it to his side. He was still thinking this plan over, as he was unsure about it.

=After a few minutes later, we finally arrived at the Falcon. It had landed farther away than I expected. She got on, and gestured for us to do so, not noticing Paarthurnax had his weapon drawn. I didn't notice either, not until I sat down. I made a quick motion, hoping he would see it, trying to tell him to put it away=

So, where are we going?

"The main city."

The city have a name?

"Yes."

You going to tell us the city's name?

"Nope."

Paarthurnax laughed and placed his sword by his side. He thought something was wrong with this, why they were not going to tell them the city's name.

"I do not like this Dormii"

"Shut up split-jaw!" the female shouted

Paarthurnax slowly moved his head so it was facing the female human. He laughed and faced away.

"You will get what is coming to you human, you all will!"

He looked towards Dormii and he smiled, he shook his head, signalling that he did not mean him.

=i looked at Paarthurnax again, and shook my head while the woman signalled for takeoff. Paar and I had sat down, and I kept trying to tell Paar to not do anything=

Why not tell us the name of the city?

"No point. You're here for a person, not a place."

You don't trust us.

"Hell no I don't. That doesn't mean I'm going to shoot you. That MAC round was your one and only warning. The only reason we didn't shoot you already is because we don't mind people who are here to look around. Those who come here for bloodshed, we don't tolerate."

Paarthurnax giggled as the lady said that they do not tolerate people who came for bloodshed, he looked away and tried not to give himself away.

"Dormii, there is no need to fear, for I am not going to do anything"

He looked to the lady.

"Not yet anyway"

Well don't. We aren't here for a fight. Remember that. Just here to find Joli.

And kill her.

=We took off and not too long afterwards, we arrived in the city=

Do you know where the Informations building is?

"Yea. Right across the street in that direction.

=she pointed=

"Other direction is the military base. Don't get them confused. We shoot on sight."

=I nod and dismount, motioning for Paarthurnax to follow=

Paarthurnax followed and gave no thought to it. He was just focusing on his main objective, learn all he could and help Dormii.

"What's next, whole entires armies coming to insult me?"

Paarthurnax hated that lady's personality, she was completely rude and intolerant.

=once we were out of earshot of anyone, i replied to Paarthurnax=
Listen. Once I get Joli, you can do whatever you want. You can kill her and anyone else. I don't care. Right now, I just need to get Joli and the rest of the team.
