Dormii's sidarc: Journey to the beginning

Yea. I have a feeling that he has Joli.

Paarthurnax seemed to have misplaced the address, so he had brought it up again on his Nano-Pad. He showed it to Dormii, and he knew what to do. He kep tit out, before exiting with Dormii.

"So what's the plan of action?"

=we were walking along, trying to find the address=
Break in, grab the fucker, interrogate him, get Joli.

Paarthurnax thought about suggesting an idea.

"Maybe do it my way this time, we do not want to go guns blazing, else they may kill her before we get a chance too?"

He smiled and put his Nano-Pad into his utility.

"Odds are this will be most appropriate in this case human"

=i thought for a moment before nodding=
We'll try it your way.

"Very well human"

Paarthurnax thought this over and came up with some suggestions.

=we walked off towards the new target's house, unsure of what was going on. I turned my head to look at Paarthurnax=
So, what's the plan?

"I am thinking about scanning the building first, for any devices, and then I enter the house with my Invisibility through a window, go to the door and open it. We sneak in and search the house?"

Paarthurnax started to set up his Invisibility, and made sure his Armor was attached properly. He put his weapons away and waited for the human's response,

And if there are people in there? I've seen Elite cloaking, it's not perfect.

"If it is dark, then it shall work perfectly, if not, lets just say he will have no arms"

Paarthurnax smiled and checked his Armor once more.

=i nod, still not entirely convinced this will work=

Go in, disable any traps, and then try to take out any guards. If she's there, I want no interruptions.

"Indeed"

Paarthurnax had his Sword in hand and switched his Cloaking device to ready.

"Are you ready Dormii?"

=i looked around, making sure no one was watching, and extended an arm blade=

Yeap. Go.

Paarthurnax nodded, before diving through the window. Once he hit the floor, he engaged his Cloaking ability. He started to look around and he heard noises coming from upstairs. He carefully moved around, trying to find the door. There it was, he carefully moved up to it. He looked around before putting his blade through the door lock, and pulling it open, which made little noise. He allowed Dormii some space to come in.

"I heard multiple noises upstairs"

He disengaged his Cloak.

"Your call, charge up or investigate everything first?"

Sneak up, get into a position to kill anyone. If, however, they surrender, do not kill them. When I start making my way up the stairs, grab one of them and basically make a large show to scare them. Got it?

Paarthurnax nodded and went back into his Cloak, with his Sword out he made his way up the stairs. He entered a room, and there were two guys in there. He went up behind one, who was sitting on a chair. He carefully cut the legs off of the chair. The human fell over, Paarthurnax evaded behind the other and had taken him hotage. He put held his sword out to the other human, who was on his back-side.

"Move and I will kill both of you!"

=i walked up the stairs making as much noise as possible to draw out any other person of dangerous intent. I followed the sounds of pseudo-combat into the room with Paarthurnax and some men=

Hello. I'd like to have some answers to some questions. Who wants to talk first?

Paarthurnax pushed the one he was holding foward to Dormii, in the space of a second he had already grabbed the other human and thrw him onto the bed, that was in the room.

"You move, and I will cut that pathetic head of your off!"

Paarthurnax looked to Dormii.

"Do what you must!"

=i pick up the man Paar threw at me. I held him by the shirt collar and pinned him against the door jam=
How about you, you wanna talk to me? Answer my questions?

Paarthurnax looked to Dormii and the human. The other human charged straight to Paarthurnax, he quickly looked around and grabbed the human's throat, bringing him up to eye level. He scanned his body with his visor, to search for any dangerous object, there were none.

"You dare defy me filth!"

Paarthurnax could smell the human's fear, he was sweating and struggling to get loose.

"Quick and painless, more than you deserve!"

Paarthurnax forced his sword through the human's gut, impaling him with some force. The human let out a a loud scream, as the sword was still in his gut. Paarthurnax removed his sword and threw the human back on to the bed, where he rolled around in agony. He looked to the other one, who was being held by Dormii.

"You too, will suffer the same fate as this filth, if you do not tell us what we need to know!"

=i didn't let the man turn around, letting his imagination do the work for him as to what happened to his friend=
Talk, and I promise to not let that event happen.

=the man was scared out of his mind, that was easy to tell, but he still wouldn't talk. He looked close to breaking, but I wasn't sure=

Paarthurnax looked to the human who was spread across the bed, he was barely alive. He thought his actions were justified. The other human was not speaking, but he would let Dormii handle this one. Paarthurnax went to the old wooden table that sat at one end of the room, he started to look through some of the things on the table.

"Human, put it this way. You tell us, and you do not end up like your friend, I promise you!"

=the man's eyes flitted back and forth, scared and slowly pushing close to the breaking point. I leaned in close to him and whispered=

Tell me what I want to know, please. I don't want to see that happen to you.

=the man snapped and started shaking uncontrollably=
"I've...I tell you....I'm dead..."

You'll be dying slowly if you don't tell us. I have no problem with doing that, I just want to get this done as fast as possible.

=i shook him and slammed him against the door jam again=

So talk. Where is Joli and why did you have security placed in her home?

=he stammered as if he couldn't say it fast enough=

"We took her kids hostage! Demanded money! Took her to this warehouse type place I don't know! I was just supposed to kill the random person who came over to her house! That's all I know, I swear!"

And where is this warehouse location?

"They gave me an address to go to when it was done, to collect my pay! Go there, maybe she's there! I don't know! Please don't kill me!"

Too bad.

=i stabbed the blade right through his eyes into his skull and out the other side. He didn't scream very long, but he did make one loud burst of noise. I dropped him to the ground and rifled through his pockets while Paar stood by. I found the address and handed it to Paar=

Let's go.

Paarthurnax looked for the address via his Nano-Pad, he looked through all the listings. He found it, it was massive. He showed Dormii, who seemed to study it with depth.

"If it is that big, I will bet there is a lot of security!"

"You, have become a heretic Paarthurnax. You shall never be redeemed from this!"

The voice had returned, spilling more irrelevant garbage.

=i nod=
It probably will. Which is why I have an idea. We combine your style with mine. Infiltrate and all out gun fights.

Paarthurnax nodded and looked up to the huge Warehouse. He scanned the building, before grabbing Dormii's neck and throwing him to the ground, whilst he quickly went into his Cloak, before walking to Dormii.

"I am sorry if that hurt human. My senses indicated that someone was aiming right at us!"

Paarthurnax looked sypathetic.

"Better safe that sorry"

Paarthurnax stood slowly, whilst hidden by the shadows. He could not see much, as it was dark.

I understand. Can you see the shooter?

=i crouched down and stayed out of sight=

Paarthurnax enhanced his vision by zooming in through his helmet. He located four Snipers, all patrolling the rooftops.

"Four in total. Each doing the same job!"

He looked at his Cloaking device and smiled.

"How about I climb the wall, and get to the roof eliminate the Snipers, whilst you go through the front. I shall enter through the roof, covering twice as much ground that way?"

Paarthurnax removed his helmet, so that he could see Dormii, with his own eyes.

Paarthurnax enhanced his vision by zooming in through his helmet. He located four Snipers, all patrolling the rooftops.

"Four in total. Each doing the same job!"

He looked at his Cloaking device and smiled.

"How about I climb the wall, and get to the roof eliminate the Snipers, whilst you go through the front. I shall enter through the roof, covering twice as much ground that way?"

Paarthurnax removed his helmet, so that he could see Dormii, with his own eyes.

That works. By the way, do you have any external speakers in your armor? I have something that may help in the future, should it be needed.

=I stood up, staying away from the windows=

Paarthurnax nodded and pointed to them.

"Indeed I do"

He looked curious.

"What for human?"

Sound program. If I need to use it, I'll let you know, and I want you to block all internal speakers, like comms and such. The sound hurts. A lot. It's better to not hear it at all.

"I will do so"

Paarthurnax checked his equipment over one more time, it was all set. The time had come.

"The time is nigh. It has been an honor Dormii, to work with you!"

Paarthurnax fitted his helmet and looked at the human.

Same here, Paarthurnax.

=i kept my arm blade retracted and started heading towards the warehouse, sticking to cover as much as possible=

Joli Reprioski sat in her cell beneath what she believed to be a warehouse. She did not know where it was, nor the technologies implanted here. The circle in her house had created a small slipspace rupture inside her house and brought her to a room not fifty kilometers away. She had no idea where her children were and no idea what would happen to them. Someone dragged her to this cell. Even though the cell didn't look like a cell, it had a nice bed, a desk, a separate room for the bathroom and some pen and paper. It was like a temporary living quarters.

Paarthurnax had shortly departed from Dormii, he was now able to enter how he wanted and be completely swift.
He had now reached a fence, there where guards on the other sides. Barbed fencing, which were a few meters in width. The guards had flashlights and a lot of weapons.
He saw their defenses and smiled, he looked for a way to get to the otherside of the fence. There were none, he got out his sheathed blade and started slowy cutting into the fence. It took a few minutes but it eventually worked. He crawled through the gap and looked on the otherside. Only way was up. Paarthurnax activated his Cloaking device and made his way across the small pavement area, until he reached the wall.

He looked around, all the guards had disappeared around the corner, which made things a lot easier. He disengaged his Cloak and put his hands against the wall. With a small pounce he started his way up the wall, slowly at first. The wall was quite sticky and it was hard. Half way up it became harder, and he started putting his blades into it and out of it, making it easier to get up the wall.

After a few minutes he had reached the top, and was greeted by the unwelcoming Snipers, who did not take walmly to his arrival.

=i did my best to make the sound of me crashing through the fence quiet, but that didn't really work. I rammed into it, and managed to knock a segment loose. I grabbed hold of it before it hit the ground, but it still made a lot of noise. I did a quick glance to see if anyone was nearby, and put the fence back in place. It wasn't perfect by any means, but a quick glance at it wouldn't set off any alarms, I hoped. I made my way along the side of the compound, coming across two guards. They started to reach for their comms, but then had their arms broken and necks snapped. Say what you will, but an armoured giant punching you in the shoulder and neck at speeds that make it hard to see the actual fist, will do damage. I dragged their bodies off into the shadows of the building, and took their weapons, one in each hand, as I looked for a way in=

"Get back here you creepy bastard!"

Paarthurnax evaded and swung for the first one, he was blocked by his Sniper, luckily they were silenced weapons. Finally, he hit one, knocking him to the ground. Paarthurnax stamped on his head, and made his way to the next one. There were three left, they had a bad aim.
He swung for the next one cleaning his head straight off.

"BANG!"


Paarthurnax was blinded, for a few seconds. He tried to see what was going on, then he saw it, an empty flash bang on the floor. He charged towards the nearest one, and pounded him to the floor, the Sniper managing a few shots, but it did not matter as his shields helped with that part.
Paarthurnax looked at the last one who aimed straight at him, Paarthurnax equipped his sword and charged to the human, who shot blankly hitting his shoulder. Within seconds the human was dead.

Paarthurnax sheathed his Sword before walking to the roof panels. He was then stopped by a shock of pain coming from his stomach and shoulder. Paarthurnax looked down and saw bullet holes. He staggered over to the nearest wall, with his hand by his stomach. Paarthurnax collapsed, which sent him straight through the roof panels, and into the building below. He went spiraling down into the first row of storage crates, dropping behind them.

=i entered the warehouse, just in time to see Paar crash through the roof. I didn't have time to go check on him, as some guards opened fire on me. I rolled behind cover and opened fire with my two rifles. I couldn't tell if I hit anything, but I knew I was sending bullets at them. I think I saw on person fall, but it was hard to tell from all the tracers. I ducked behind the crate and opened it up, hoping there was something useful. There wasn't, it was a bunch of kitchen utensils=

Are you kidding me...

Things were dark, a little light was shed but nothing more. He could hear a lot of guns firing but he did not have the strength to do anything apart from open his eyes. He was lying behind a lot of UNSC crates, and was trying to get his thoughts together.
His helmet displayed his shields and health, his shields were down, and his health bar was in the red.

He sat up, and looked around, there were no guards around. He slipped off of the crates and fell to the floor in agony.

"You are weak, you have fell like I predicted Paarthurnax. This heresy has caught up on you!"

Paarthurnax got up steadily and made his way to the guns that were firing, he saw a lot of guards and Dormii, hiding behind a crate. Paarthurnax grabbed his sword and staggered towards the nearest opponent and he put his Sword straight through him. A lot of blood splattered everywhere, he dropped the human, and staggered over to the next one.

=an idea hit me, as Paarthurnax staggered into the fray. I dropped the rifles, and picked up the cutlery. I held them in my fists like claws, and started running at the guards. I flipped one of the knives around and through it at one of the guards. It hit his helmet, but bounced off. Although, it did distract him from shooting Paar and I managed to close the distance enough to where I could get my arm around him and snap his neck. I threw another knife at another guard and ran at him, intending to stab him. Someone started shooting at me, and my shields flared=

Paarthurnax had finished his last target, and saw Dormii, and his shields flickering. Paarthurnax staggered over once more and punched his attacker straight in the face, the human dropped, he rolled and started spraying at Paarthurnax. He took fire, and a lot of blood came from him, he blocked his face with his left hand and ran behind a crate. He could not see what was going on, he was focusing on his health bar, it was on the very last bar, and his shields would not charge. He had sustained a lot of bullet holes just, and a small purple pile formed beneath him.
Paarthurnax fell slightly, until he was on the floor, legs spread out and his back against the crate. There was still a lot of firing going on, but he did not have the ability to move.

"System check-up!"

Paarthurnax looked up, and saw Dormii still battling with the other human. He tried to get up, using the crate as a support. He managed to do this, he tried to walk a few steps, before collapsing on to the solid concrete floor. He let out a small grunt as he hit the floor. He crawled to another crate that was incredibly close, until he was near the end, where he went around the side, and further away from the fight, though a large blood trail followed him.

"SPREAD OUT! FIND THESE INTRUDERS!"

Paarthurnax heard a bellowing voice shout.

=I got up close to the guy I was going to stab, the person shooting at me having stopped shooting at me, and stabbed him in the gut with several kitchen knives. I used him as a shield from his buddies while I used his rifle to spray at them again. I walked backwards, until I got behind the crates and then took cover, my shields choosing that time to recharge. I slide over to Paarthurnax=

Hey, you awake?

"Yeah....We have more company!"

Paarthurnax held his wound whilst his shields were still down. He was severely injured but everyone knows that Sangheili never back down. Paarthurnax staggered towards the nearest crate, taking cover behind them. He equpped his SMG and started firing at the humans. He and Dormii both working through them.

"Great work human!"

=i nod=
You too, Paar. How badly are you hurt?

=i jabbed a fist into another crate and pulled out a wad of packing material=
gods dammit

Paarthurnax evaded and barely missed a grenade. He quickly ducked behind another one.

"No shields, and my health is displaying a 7.43 %..."

He shot a few more rounds off, until his weapon became empty and he dumped it. He evaded over to Dormii, and knelt beside him.

"I am out human!"

=i throw the fluff away and look at Paar=

Remember that audio program I told you about? Now's the time to use it. Cover you ears.

Paarthurnax nodded and turned off his Audio phones, and head gear. He covered his ears with his hands and he looked to Dormii, he saw him doing something.

"When your ready!"

=i nod and initiated a wireless link to his armor. I accessed his external speakers and played the Banshee Scream through both our armor sets. If you have forgotten what it is, it's a high pitched screech that debilitates most who hear it. The sheer volume and pitch and frequency of it ruins eardrums if heard for too long, and can kill, which I still have yet to understand how. I'm guessing it bursts blood vessels in the ears, but I don't know for sure. I've yet to see it, but the theory is sound, no pun intended. Anyway, I played, on the highest volume, and stood up from behind the crates so there were less objects between the sound and the soldiers. The second best thing about it, is that it changes anything I say through my external speakers to this demonic sounding voice, of which I used=

LEAVE THIS PLACE OR PERISH! WE ARE HERE FOR JOLI, NOT FOR YOU! BUT SHOULD YOU INTERFERE, YOU WILL NOT BE SPARED!

Paarthurnax smiled and staggered foward following Dormii, he was content so far.
